Great for its purpose!

Just downloaded and played around a little, but seems rad! We help customers design and shape their own boards, so no two boards are the same. This app will let us do quick design concepts that look right instead of the junky drawings we’re used to hand sketching in conversations with customers. It’s not designed to do a whole lot, but it does the things it is designed to do very well and simply.

I’d love to see the option to determine board thickness and calculate a rough volume measurement in the future to refine the process. Wonder if there are any plans to add a feature that would allow an export to AKU or other softwares to pick-up deeper design right from where you left off with your outline...

Rad resource

I would give this app 5 stars because it’s a dream to use and I really appreciate this as a resource. Here’s the “but”. Even though I’ve scaled it correctly for printing, I’m still getting unsatisfactory results. 3” gone from length and 1” from width when I print my templates. I even went to the big printing store and spent the 5 bucks to have them do it for me.. same thing. Scaled at 100%.. I still bought my boy a cup of coffee for the excellent app and for the simple fact the you can use your own template curves with the measurements provided on the app of your design. So, as an advanced shaper, I can use the metric measurements make my dots and connect it to blend it to my desired shape… but yeah, scaling is the issue here. I will edit and correct this review if for some reason this was my error. Until then, I will continue to use and support this app. Cheers

Fast, easy, awesome tool for making surfboard outlines and sharing designs

I have been using this app for the last 3 boards i’ve made, and its super useful for rapidly making different outlines and comparing them. Its easy to send your designs to your friends too, so you can bounce ideas off of each-other. The app also lets you print out an entire template out of printer paper and taping it together. My friend has had success with that, but i just use the offsets. The app is a great tool for making boards.

Great for playing around with different shapes

Easy to use, intuitive controls, and the perfect tool for people like me, who are new to shaping, and want to play around with dimensions to see how a board will turn out. The option to print out a full size board template is also very nice. No complaints, works as advertised, and totally free.

Great App for an aspiring surfboard shaper!

Keep your stoke alive whether at home or on the road! This shaping app is great for any aspiring surfboard shaper! I use it to record my sparks of creative thinking when I’m not at home or can’t use my laptop. It could use more design features, but overall it’s a great tool for capturing those random moments of inspiration and creativity. Thanks for releasing a great product!

My first try at this

I’m not sure if this is gonna work or if it’s even worth it but I’m gonna turn it up. I’m gonna shape a board in about a month if it worked out well and I’ll be at the customer. However, computer wise I’m a moron, and I was able to use that pretty easy.

Wow. Just wow.

After hours struggling with complicated vector design software and getting nowhere I ran across this and designed my board in 5 minutes. Admittedly I am not a real surfer but making two 7 foot wood boards with paintings of my wife and I as pool decor. Like Lava Lava Beach Club in Hawaii. This program saved the the day. I donated a little. It is priceless…

I have been waiting for something like this the only thing is it would be nice to be able to also use it on a pc. Otherwise this is an incredible app that I cannot find a flaw in. Thank you so much for developing such an incredible and useful app.

I needed this!

Im blown away by how user friendly this app is. 5 stars all day long.

My only request for the future is an area to develop an accompanying rocker curve template. It feels slightly incomplete without this. I’m not sure how difficult this addition would be, but it would be appreciated.

Perfect for the equipment obsessed surfer

I have been torturing my shapers with little tweaks for years this app allows me to mess around with board features and get something closer to what I’m looking for. You can text the template to your shaper and really dial in your customs. My last template worked out great.
