More time to play!
I reside in Utah and am newer to the sport of Windsurfing. High mountain lakes can be very challenging as well as rewarding. It has been a bear attempting to locate reliable wind reports. It’s demoralizing to drive an hour and a half and find little wind or not realize that the wind will be excessively shifting around as it does some days.. I am grateful I found this app! I am able to get to the lakes more often and have a much better time learning and laughing at myself. I am noticeably improving so that’s great. There is the occasional kiteboarding going on and they feel the gruff of the mountain lakes too. It would be clearly obvious with this app which day to get out and do that. See you there!

Not a windsurfer, but....
I live in a remote location on the southern Oregon coast where there is quite a bit of windsurfing. Due to the remote location at the ocean, it is difficult to get accurate forecasts of any kind, let alone specific wind gusts down to the hour. I’ve used iWindsurf on my iPhone for a few years and it’s the best forecasting I can get. Also, after a strong gust rocks my place, I can check in at the closest location to learn fairly quickly just how strong it was. I really appreciate this app!

No life without the iWindsurf app!!!
I have been using iWindsurf since about the mid 80’s and it has made my life so much better and fun because all of my family windsurfs so the weather forecasts, along with all the other windsurf information on it has been great! We have bought and sold gear with it, found places to sail that we knew nothing about, got advice from your blog, and seriously check it every single day of my life for Wind !!! I could go on and on but it is THE BEST APP I HAVE!!!! Thank you big time!!!! Bill Mangan

They fixed it
This was a great app, and they made it better with the changes but lost a feature. Only problem is that now I can’t even get a regular forecast from the paid sites. Before the change I was able to access the paid locations to get a forecast, but not current conditions. Oh well, still a great app.

Best Data, Mediocre App
The data from the pro sensors is the best there is. The forecast from the pro forecasters is great. The maps and models are fantastic…
But the app is so mediocre. It’s buggy, klunky to use, and feels like it hasn’t gotten substantial updates in years. It regularly will just “lose” stations from my favorites or have mysterious black boxes lurking over parts of the app. Seems WeatherFlow is spending most of their energy on the Tempest app instead. It’s really a shame that the app isn’t better given how great their data is.

Indispensable if you need to know what the wind is doing
Data from hundreds of wind sensors is clickable on a map you can scroll and zoom. Many of the anemometers were put in place by and are exclusive to this corporation. Has amazing wind vector prediction maps, graphs of wind speed lull/average/gusts and history going back years. I’ve subscribed for about 20 straight years.

it’s a must have
between April and September I plan my weekends and Friday conf calls based on the iwindsurf forecasts and the sensor readings. I anticipate Mike Godsey’s 7am and 7pm wind predictions like a kid waiting for the school snow cancellations report. Once you personalize the content that you need (there’s a lot to choose from) it’s a couple clicks to lock in on the wind, waves and adrenaline...or know to hit the trails instead.

Great app! But stability issues
The app is great! I personally use it every day as a competitive windsurfer in the Bay Area. However, the app recently has been unable to open since ios 13. I have an iphone 11 pro max and was hoping this issue would be solved eventually but now after some time passed, still no improvements. I would give 5 stars but the stability is really an issue since i cannot even open the app without it crashing.

Tremendous app for Windsurfers
iWindsurf is worth ANY amount of money! It is invaluable! iwindsurf helps me get out on the water much more often. And it saves me a ton of gas money by knowing whether I should make the drive... (by knowing what the wind is doing). Also- Wind List new feature is so brilliant.

Our Club favorite app
We have a wingfoiling Club with about 30+ people on it. We use iWindsurf or ikite surf, whatever all the time. It’s our go to app for weather/wind. It’s amazing how accurate it is. Been using it for years and it never fails. Thanks.
