Japanese immersion
This station and App have been great in helping me find ways to immerse myself in more Japanese every day. I feel like I'm missing out on an entire catalog of music that I can't wait to enjoy once I learn more of the language.

LOVE the station! App needs work
My #1 gripe with the app is that the stream will sometimes stop playing for no reason. Phone set aside, not touching it, steady wifi connection, music cuts out. Frustratingly, sometimes this happens after just a few seconds.
My #2 complaint is that the Playlist (recent /next up) does not update after the initial start of the app. After a few minutes with the app open, this list is useless.
I wish the Favorites list could be compiled from J1’s entire playlist (such as is available to browse on the website) and a notification setting could be turned on to notify me when a favored song or artist is about to play.
I have been listening to J1 for about a year, ramping up my language studies and really enjoying listening to the latest hits from Japan as well as the weather and jingles changing with the seasons. Thankful that this service / app is available, even if not perfect. I’ve had a good year of discovering fresh music and artists thanks to J1. It is my favorite non-talk channel.
