Heather Z,
Great format!
This app is amazing! I just moved to Japan without any language training and this has been great for learning a few polite greetings but falls short in other categories. I downloaded a few other languages and was surprised at how thorough Spanish was. I'd be willing to pay for the app if it had more audio clips.
JorjCar'das,
Okay, but...
There are a lot of problems.

First, I would like to say that the audio is actually quite good. It may be a bit slow, but if you're learning, then that's probably good.

However, what is being said is part of the problem. Quite a few phrases are, while not necessarily inaccurate, not what anyone would actually say. For example, drug should really be "mayaku" rather than "doraggu". And boat should be "fune", not "boto".

Also, what the anglicized version and what the Japanese said were frequently different. It wasn't consistant, either. Sometimes the anglicized version was more accurate, and sometimes the Japanese was more accurate.

Finally, it wasn't enen anglicized correctly. Instead of "r", it had "l". I think there may have been other problems, but at the moment I don't recall them.

In conclusion, it's an okay start, but there are a lot of things that need to be fixed- perhaps have someone who is fluent in both English and Japanese look over it.
Tazly_Amarice,
Not too shabby
Aside from a few typos this is a FREE app that would be worth $1.99 in my opinion~ I like the kanji which so many PAID apps leave out.. It's pretty fun and easy to use :)
Poetik Spirit,
More words and phrases!!
Pretty kewl just add more words and phrases!! I will also have to agree with the poster about a rewind button or a way to slow it down, for the longer phrases. Other than that I like it! Please add some African languages!!
Ahosk53,
One of the Best!
I've been studying Japanese for a while and this is by far one of the best audio I've ever used for it!it makes it more interesting to listen to the conversation than to listen- repeat. Listen- repeat.
gvaughn,
Romanized Version Doesn't Match
This app might provide some useful words and phrases, but the romanized version of the phrases often don't seem to match the Japanese character (hiragana) version. For example, the romanized version for one phrase is: "Watashi Wa", while the hiragana actually says (in Japanese): "Watashi no Namae wa". Differences like this make no sense at all. It's almost as if the people who put the app together don't really know Japanese...
To1ete,
Thank you!!
I would like to say thank you for your time for making this application eventhough is a basic lession is was free, please add more words to my vocabulary.
Chasing Rabbits,
Great application
The romanization is a bit off, and I wish it had more phrases/words, but I love it otherwise! I'd like an update or a paid version!
AbdulAziz_azoze,
