Japanese Word Search Hack 1.2 + Redeem Codes

This is a fun app but it could be better.

- I was hoping to work on katakana recognition but so far all of the puzzles are only in hiragana. However, I really like having the words for each puzzle in a single category. It makes it more likely that I’ll remember the words.
- it would be fabulous to be able to mix up the fonts!!! Some of my WaniKani-based apps have this feature. Very helpful.
- As an earlier reviewer noted, there are no translations, despit the fact that this app is listed as being in English. Since I have to use a dictionary to look up the words, some of which are sort of esoteric (remora, for example), getting badgered for a rating each time I come back to the puzzle is downright annoying. Also some words that seem like they should be in katakana are included in a hiragana puzzle (アルマジロ was in hiragana but came up in katakana when I looked it up).
- On the phone, it is sometimes hard to select a string of kana that goes to the edge of the screen. Twice I have had to quit my puzzle because I could not select the word after finding it. So, please add a bit of margin around the edges.
- The developers could look at some similar apps for ideas on how to add translations in a pleasing user interface. Not saying this would be easy to add :-D

I’ve only had this app for an hour so I don’t have much more to say except that I hope I will now no longer be pestered for a rating.

It’s really great, however I wish there were more levels. Amazing if you are studying Japanese and want to do so whilst having fun. 5/5!

I like the app and it’s very easy to use. However if I want to the the definition of the words I’m finding in the word search I have to look them up online. It’s hard to learn new words if I don’t know what they mean in English.

I've rated it damnit.
