I learned how to Jass on a visit to Austria, years ago. Then discovered it was the fore-father of a game we always played in the States, called Euchre. I have since been spreading the word and teaching everyone I know about this challenging, complex, yet deeply satisfying game. Being away from Europe most of the time, I have craved such an app for my iphone. At last here is one. And it's fantastic! Exquisitely designed and well thought-out, given the many afore-mentioned complexities. My only complaint would be one that ultimately can't be remedied until the Austrians make a contribution; that there would be a version with the terminology and cards I learned with-- Laub, Schell, Goss, Bock, usw... And of course, some of the drama that one always encounters in a real game-- the congratulations and dissapointments for Stich, Match, Gegenmatch and the hub-bub associted with such declarations-- is missing. But, hey, I understand! This game is a serious accomplishment given how incredibly varied it is, in real life, from country to country, region to region, dorf to dorf. Well-done!
