FAQs
Q: Where can I find these stations online?
A: Each of the stations are run independently and have their own online presence. There are several online directories where you can find the stations featured in the app.

Q: Why does the music occasionally skip?
A: When songs are skipping, it is often because 1) that station's server has recently been reset or 2) the internet isn't filling the audio buffer fast enough. Usually these issues are resolved with faster internet, changing to a new station, or they resolve on their own after the server resets.

Q: Why are some stations blank at times?
A: Some of these stations are controlled by real DJs and if they aren't playing anything at the time or their site is down no music will play. Fortunately we have a variety of channels so you will always have a lot to choose from.

Jazz Radio+ is the A++++

Very nice jazz app! I’m impressed with how many stations actually work and work well! Nice selection of different jazz genres. The perpetual ads at the bottom of the app don’t bother me at all since I’m listening and not watching :). I have only one enhancement request. It would be great if you could add an option for a timer. Hopefully, I can use the device timer but it would be better to have it built into the app like audiobook apps and other music streaming apps. Other than that, great job keeping up with the station updates!

Mostly Pop “Jazz” with too many Commercials?

I’m not into what’s called “Smooth Jazz”, because despite the considerable talents of some of the practitioners, as a genre it’s more pop or funk music than jazz. Remember the axiom: It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing!

I spent an hour or so after downloading the app categorizing the channels, and what I found was that out of the 56, 22 were pop music with jazz-type improvisation usually, 18 were Jazz, 9 were miscellaneous, 5 were Latin, while one was Classical and the last Hawaiian. The commercials were way too frequent so I almost dumped it right there and gave two stars.

I returned to add another star after listening to two or three of the dedicated jazz stations for a couple of hours, especially Jazz Groove. No ads at all and only one pop/funk tune, by Stanley Clarke, so since he’s the real deal I gave him a pass. 😉

After my second session I returned to make it four stars and that’s my usual max. To get five not only must an app do what it says but must be good in bed and clean my somewhat skanky bathroom. Thanks to this great dev I may have to soon add that last one anyway.

Cool Jazz Florida

So I picked this station since I’m from South Florida originally, and whoa surprise, surprise! The DJ is Stu Grant! I used to only
listen to Love94 when I lived there. On Sundays, he would have a special that I never missed. Every year I went to the Valentine’s Day concerts, never missed one. My last one was with Bobby Caldwell at CB Smith Park. I even have two wine glasses that say Love94 when we attended a concert at their studios with the Rippingtons. So now this is all I will listen to when I’m home! So happy 😁!

Jazz Lovers Dream App

I absolutely LOVE this app! I’m so thankful to be able to access all my favorite various genres of jazz music all in one place! The only reason I rated this 4 stars is because of a technical issue. The app frequently stops playing the music and shuts off randomly. It’s quite annoying in that I’m having to open back up the app, find the station I was listening to, and hope it plays again (sometimes it won’t). If this issue got fixed, this app would be heaven!

Hands down best Jazz stations to be found anywhere

Jazz Radio is quality, curated radio at its best. I'm happy to be a member. Maybe I'm old but I get overwhelmed by the choices on other subscription sites... With Jazz Radio I just sit back and let the playlist unfold, constantly the best that jazz has to offer....

Love, love it!

This is the ONLY streaming app for true jazz aficionados. Presently I’m regularly listening to JazzOn2 - true jazz artists from across the decades. Their “DJs” are soft spoken and do a nice job of introducing artists and their music throughout their programming.

But the enormous variety of stations to choose from makethe Oscar Peterson app the go-to jazz streaming app for jazz lovers of all tastes.

Nifty!

This app, along with all of Nick Culbertson's music apps, is the best free streaming app in its genre! Ads are limited to a simple banner ad, and the station selection is just about spot on. Most of these type of apps originate from Europe or Japan, but here we get an American perspective. Get 'em all, you won't be disappointed!

Some people

Great app!Very nice jazz music from different stations. Some stations like GotRadio have great sound quality. Very clear & smooth.
But some stations like Qfm Cool Jazz HD constantly turn themselves off. Very annoying.

Lovely. However

Who man I to complain about a free ap. However.
Of you use Siri voice commands while playing it does not return to music afterwards. You have to open your phone and the ap and press play again.

Same for phone calls and incoming texts.
