Description

Welcome to Juggle Pro, the probably most powerful and advanced juggling app available! Juggle Pro is an app that is somewhat hard to categorize but might best be described as a juggling simulator and a juggling pattern generator all-in-one.

The app has been created with the juggling community in mind, mainly as a training and teaching tool for jugglers at any level, from the beginner to the professional stage performer. However, you do not have to be a juggler to enjoy the app!

With Juggle Pro you can see how specific patterns look like before you even start practicing on them. Use the slow-motion, pause and resume, object tracing functions etc to learn the details about a pattern. Use sound and haptic feedback to find the rhythm of the pattern you so much want to learn! Use the siteswap pattern generator to discover new patterns you didn't even know existed! It's a fantastic tool to get inspiration from.

Generated or manually added patterns can be saved as favorites for easy access. You can also name and customize your favorites to your liking by modifying and tweaking pattern settings and options. Every change made will immediately be reflected when the pattern is animated. When you are done creating the perfect pattern, you can easily share it with a friend!

Juggle Pro can of course also be used solely for entertaining purposes. Have you ever dreamt of watching a professional juggler performance? Well, now you can! Just launch the AR mode and put a small juggling figurine on the kitchen table or why not a full size juggler in your garden lawn?

Another possibility is to just generate an endless list of almost impossible juggling patterns, get the popcorn, sit back and watch the juggler in slow-motion. It is truly mesmerizing and highly addictive!

We all know that juggling is good for your health and gives you plenty of exercise. On Health enabled devices, you're able to register and keep track of your juggling workouts right within the app! Juggle Pro is fully integrated with the Health app. This means that any juggling workout data created in the app is automatically stored in the Health app and will count towards your daily exercise goals!

The app is free to download and install. However, while being free, some features are restricted and the app will inform you if or when you run into such a limitation. If you want full and unlimited access to all features and functions in the app, please consider buying the Pro Features in-app purchase!

2023-09-24
A long time has passed since the last update but as the saying goes - ”good things come to those who wait!”. This update is absolutely packed with new great features and improvements to already existing ones! If you like what you see and want to support the hard work behind the development of the app, please consider buying the "Pro Features" in-app purchase!

• Along with your private favorites list there is now a public favorites list! Each user can have up to five concurrent favorites published to the public list. Favorites in this list can be seen and used by other users of the app but a published favorite can only can modified or deleted by the owner. Let your creativity flow and share your most awesome patterns with the community! This feature is part of the \"Pro Features\" in-app purchase.
• The app has now support for iCloud sync! If enabled, your private favorites list will now be stored in iCloud and automatically synced between your devices. This feature can be turned off in the app settings.
• When saving an edited favorite, you will now have the option to include your current animation settings to the saved favorite data! This option is also available when publishing a favorite to the public list, which means the pattern animation will be presented to others exactly as you intended!
• Personalize the juggler model by changing physical characteristics and outfits! The model editor can be accessed from the app settings and from the "Tools" menu. This feature is part of the "Pro Features" in-app purchase.
• The juggler model has undergone an overhaul and has been improved and redesigned in several respects! Also, textures have been added in some places to further enhance the rendering of the model and the environment.
• It is now possible to set the scene surface (i.e. the ground) to checkered floor, transparent floor, grass or asphalt! Definitely try this out because the different settings will give the whole scene a unique look and feel. This new setting can be accessed from the animation settings view.
• The size of balls and rings can be specified in the animation settings! Choose between auto, small, medium and large size. If "Auto" is selected, the object size will be set to small for patterns with six or more objects, and set to medium for all other patterns.
• The default tint color has been changed from orange to yellow. As before, the preferred tint color can be specified in the settings view.

This update will be the last to support devices running iOS 12! If you have such a device and cannot upgrade iOS to a later version, you can still use and enjoy this version of Juggle Pro but you will not be able to update the app anymore. A goal in the development of Juggle Pro has always been to support as many devices and iOS versions as possible. However, doing so has made it difficult, and in some cases even impossible, to incorporate specific features into the app. Unfortunately, this is a necessary step for the future development of the app. Thanks for your understanding! As always, some minor bugs have been fixed and improvements have been made to make the app experience even better.

• It is now possible to duplicate a favorite! This can be very handy if you want to make adjustments and changes to an existing favorite but also keep the old one untouched.
• When sharing a favorite, you will now share not only the pattern but all edited properties of the favorite!
• The metronome tool has been updated with a new style option.
• If you enjoy Juggle Pro, please consider using the new rate and review option that has been added to the settings view. From the same view, it is now also possible to share a link to Juggle Pro on the App Store.
• Fixed a problem with the app crashing under certain circumstances when opening a link to a shared favorite.

Version 3.0 is finally ready and brings a few new features to the table! A new “Manual mode” has been added and there is also a new “Tools” menu! More information can be found below. As always, a few minor bugs have been fixed and improvements have been made to make the app experience even better.

• By long pressing on the siteswap/pattern name in the navigation bar at the top of the animation view or by long pressing the Juggle Pro logo in the main view, you will enter "Manual mode". This mode lets you enter siteswaps directly in the animation view without the need to go back to the previous view and maybe have to generate a new siteswap list to get the pattern you are looking for. If you already know the siteswap of the pattern you want to animate, this feature can be very convenient!
• A tools menu has been added to the main view. For now, the menu contains one tool - a fully configurable metronome! If you are struggling to keep a steady pace when juggling, make sure you check out this new great training aid! This feature is part of the "Pro Features" in-app purchase.
• The in-app purchase view has been slightly redesigned to be more adapted to the iOS standard. There is also a new tip alternative you are more than welcome to use if you appreciate the work and efforts being made to make Juggle Pro even better.
• To make the app feel more responsive, the minimum duration for long press gestures has been decreased and set to the iOS default value.

Backcrosses are here! The very popular, yet difficult and highly enviable throw, is the main new feature in this update and can be added to any siteswap sequence and of course also be viewed in the animations!

• Added support for backcrosses! Crossing or self throws at all heights can now be performed as a backcross! Some patterns in the routines library have been added or updated with backcrosses to exemplify. Additionally, the pattern editor has been updated with the new backcross throw so you can add it to your own favorite patterns!
• Changed and improved the animation of the juggler model to enable the support for backcrosses but also to make normal throws more realistic. Now the juggler’s shoulder joint and upper arm will move when the juggler is throwing an object. Furthermore, the feed animations have been made more accurate.
• When generating siteswaps, it is now possible to filter the results! To active the feature, just long press on a list header! If you want to filter on the pattern, just tap the filter icon in the bottom-right corner. The keyboard will automatically adapt to the content of the data associated with the chosen list header.
• Added reference bars as an optional feature in the animation scene. This feature is disabled by default but can be enabled in the animation settings.
• It is now possible to skip tutorials and guides which is useful if you are already familiar with the app and e.g. need to reinstall the app or install it on another device.
• The app has been made ready for in-app events. Keep an eye on the Juggle Pro App Store page for upcoming events!
• The home indicator, shown on devices without a home button, is now automatically hidden for animations in full screen mode.
• Fixed a few minor bugs and cosmetic issues.

The biggest and boldest update yet is ready! This version includes a whole bunch of new great features and improvements, but biggest of them all is with no doubt the new workout feature!

• We all know that juggling is good for your health and gives you plenty of exercise. On Health enabled devices, you're now able to register and keep track of your juggling workouts right within the app! The workout data is automatically stored in the Health app and will count towards your daily exercise goals set in the Fitness app (if you have an Apple Watch). There's a lot to say about this great feature so you better check it out yourself and read the information in the dedicated help section! This feature is part of the "Pro Features" in-app purchase.
• It's time for fire night! You can now choose both torches and fire balls in the props list! Seeing is believing so go to the animation view and check it out!
• It's now possible to customize the user interface appearance of the app. Among other things, you can override the appearance (light/dark mode) chosen in the iOS settings (iOS 13 and above) and change the overall tint (accent) color to your liking!
• When manually adding a siteswap to your favorite list, a new custom keyboard will now appear making entering throw heights much easier!
• When you calculate new siteswaps the prerequisites are stored and the next time you open the view these values are restored automatically!
• A new star shaped effect has been added to the prop links alternatives! When selected, each juggling object is linked with a small sphere indicating the pattern's momentary center of gravity. Try it out!
• When editing a pattern, it's now possible to get an animation preview of the pattern without leaving the editor! This makes it much easier to see how a certain setting or a change will effect the pattern.
• The "Today's Favorite" widget has been redesigned to better match the look and feel of the new "Today's Workouts" widget.
• Now all of the views have tooltips and their own section in the built-in help system. Also, the help view sizing has been improved to better accomodate the content.
• If you have a Mac with the new M1 processor, you do know that you're able to run "Juggle Pro" on your Mac, right? This update includes some modifications that make Mac support even better!

iOS 14 is here and that also means home screen widgets! In this update a useful widget is included alongside the app. Additionally, a few minor bugs and cosmetic issues have also been fixed.

• Add the "Today's Favorite" widget to your home screen to show a randomly selected pattern from your favorites list each day. Tap on the widget to jump straight into the app's "Favorites" view. The medium sized widget also includes some additional features.
• When you calculate new siteswaps the prerequisites are stored and the next time you open the view these values are restored automatically!
• The on-boarding experience has been enhanced. You will now get a short tutorial when you open the "Animation" view. This guide will only be shown once.

This update includes a few new useful features. Additionally, a few minor bugs and cosmetic issues have also been fixed.

• The maximum height of a throw has been increased from 9 to 11! This means that patterns with throws of height 'a' (10) and 'b' (11) are now supported!
• When generating siteswaps, patterns that have predefined names will now default to a description with the last selected prop type, e.g. "Three ball cascade", instead of always referring to clubs.
• The number of matching siteswaps is now updated continuously during the calculation process to give better feedback in lengthy calculations.

2020-05-28
This update introduces a refined way of filtering the generated siteswap patterns and a brand new view with statistical information has been added. Additionally, a few minor bugs and cosmetic issues have also been fixed.

• Added the capability to adjust not only the upper limits, but also the lower limits of the requirements when generating siteswap patterns. This can be used to greatly reduce the result set and makes it much easier to find the patterns you are interested in! Unfortunately this feature is not available on iPhone 5S and iPhone SE (1st generation) because of the limited screen space.
• When generating siteswap patterns, it is now possible to see charts with statistical information about the matching siteswaps.
• Fixed some minor layout issues in slide over and split screen view on iPad.

2020-03-26
This update introduces a few new cool and useful features as described below. Additionally, a few minor bugs and cosmetic issues have also been fixed.

• A new cool animation feature named "prop links" has been added! It's now possible to link props together visually in a loop or as an open string. This effect will not only give you a totally different perspective of a juggling pattern, but it's also very fun to watch! The feature can be enabled in the animation settings. Give it a try and get mesmerized!
• When the app is started for the first time, you will now get a short tutorial in some of the views. These guides will only be shown once for each view.
• It's now possible to long press and hold on the question mark button found in most views to show hints directly in the view.
• If you are a really big fan of the app and feel very generous, you now got the opportunity to leave a small tip! For this you will get nothing but a smiling, highly motivated developer!
• Added some more pattern names to the name dictionary.
• Fixed an issue with the quick settings panel when using slide over and split view on iPad.
• Fixed some minor cosmetic issues in the prop selection list.
• Fixed an issue with the background of the difficulty score on iOS 12.
• Fixed an incorrectly specified routine.
1.3
2020-02-11
This update includes a few new useful features as described below. Additionally, a few minor bugs have also been fixed.

• Added calculation and presentation of siteswap difficulty. Every pattern, generated or manually added, will automatically get a calculated difficulty score that gives a hint about how hard it is to juggle. This also means that pattern lists can be sorted on difficulty! More information about siteswap difficulty can be found in the in-app help.
• Changed how patterns are named. Before, the pattern name originated from how the pattern looked like when it was found by the algorithm, which not necessarily meant the pattern was written with the highest throw listed first etc. Now, the pattern names follows the more commonly used naming convention.
• Improved the sorting of lists. The list of generated siteswaps is now presorted on the pattern name by default. Also, from now on, all lists can be sorted on the description name.
• Added a view showing what's new in the current version. The view will only be shown the first time the app starts after being installed or updated.
• Fixed an issue with QR codes not generated correctly on some devices.
• Fixed an issue with prop tracing effects that were accidentally removed when changing scene particles.
1.2.1
2019-12-04
This version introduces a new optional AR feature called people occlusion. When enabled, virtual content can be rendered behind people passing in front of the camera. More information is provided in the app, if and when the feature is enabled. Additionally, a few minor bugs have also been fixed.

• The AR settings menu now includes a people occlusion setting. When enabled, virtual content can be rendered behind people passing in front of the camera.
• It is now not possible to change pattern when the animation settings or AR settings menu is showing.
• Changed the behavior regarding how the time beat value is handled in animations. When a new pattern is loaded the time beat used will be the last saved value. However, if the pattern is a routine or an edited favorite pattern, the time beat used will be the value associated with that pattern. If the time beat value is changed in the animation settings menu, that value will be used until a new pattern is loaded.
• Fixed a problem with possible duplicates in the favorites list.
• Fixed a problem with the selected prop tracing not showing after changing pattern.

2019-11-14
This version is all about iOS 13. Features such as dark mode and context menus has been fully implemented and some user interface elements have been redesigned to match the overall look-and-feel of iOS 13. Additionally, a few minor bugs have also been fixed.

• Added support for dark mode. Even though the standard theme is pretty dark, the dark mode theme is even darker.
• Added context menus to all pattern lists. Instead of swiping it is now possible to tap-and-hold on a pattern to get access to all available actions.
• Fixed an issue with horizontal planes in AR mode.
• Fixed an issue with incorrectly rendered shadows in AR mode.
• Increased the contrast of the ghost juggler in AR mode. The color of the model is now slightly darker and more bluish.
• Made some minor user interface improvements.

• Added support for iOS 13.
• Added a pattern editor that enables customization of favorite patterns.
• Updated the help system with pattern editor view information.

1.0.1
2019-09-03
In this version a few minor bugs have been fixed and some changes and improvements have been made to already existing functionality.

• Fixed an issue with haptic feedback on iPhone 6s.
• Fixed an issue with the timebeat value not handled correctly in animation and AR settings.
• Added request review functionality in compliance with guidelines.
• The hit area on some buttons and controls has been increased to make them easier to tap.
• The default timebeat length for throw height 5 and above has been decreased and tweaked to match the pace of some world class jugglers. If the number of juggled objects is less than the max throw height, the timebeat length will be slightly increased.
• The default number of spins has been changed as follows: 4 & 5 = 2 spins, 6 & 7 = 3 spins, 8 & 9 = 4 spins. An exception to the rule is if the max height is 5 and the pattern includes a 4, then the 5 will have 3 spins instead of 2.
• Added colored LED clubs as a prop option.
• Double tap with two fingers in the animation view to restore the camera to its default position.
• Deletion of patterns from the favorites list now needs to confirmed.

Harper Fields,
Best animation and plenty of functionality
First off: best animation I've seen in a siteswap program, with a 360-degree view and a choice of props. The clubs are well done, with convincing spins and an even flow to every pattern. The menu for different speeds, etc., of the animation is excellent.

There is a lot to the interface, with some functions not really intuitive (deleting favorites and other functions are explained in the Help menu - you'll want to read it).

I wish the siteswap generator had more boundary controls, such as "minimum length" or "minimum throw," so I don't have to wade through 145 siteswaps when the one I'm looking for is in a collection of 6; still, sorting by length solves the former problem.

The siteswap generator misses a few: 85845 doesn't get generated, even though 85863 does. This is my only strong criticism. The rest you can put down to user preference.
IrwinLaughter,
Works great
Bought the pro. I can’t believe how amazing this simulator looks! Seems to work very well, lots of options and patterns. Also, it’s surprisingly inspiring!
