Description

Meet Jumbline 2, the most addictive word game in the App Store. Scramble and twist your brain to make words from jumbled lines of letters. Simply rearrange the scrambled letters into words, and underline them with your finger to score points; find and underline the largest word and you advance to the next level.

Play in a relaxing un-timed mode, or put your skills up against the clock in timed rounds.

Jumbline 2 includes two additional games: Cloud Pop and Star Tower. In Cloud Pop, your goal is to pop as many clouds as possible, by spelling words out of the letters carried in each cloud. In Star Tower, your task is to build the tallest tower you can, before it sinks into the ground, by making and staking words out of an infinitely jumbled line of letters. The larger the word, the slower your tower sinks, so scramble and twist your brain to think big!

Jumbline 2 is ideal for fans of Scrabble, Words With Friends, TextTwist. Play with friends and family cooperatively, or fly solo.

A Fav!

See update at end! :-(
Love words!!! I was the elementary kid who couldn't wait for free time in class right before holidays when the teacher would have us find how many words we could find in "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Thanksgiving", etc. This app helps extend my childhood just a bit longer! BTW: I'm a retired teacher. LOL! ;-)

UPDATE: November 16, 2020
What happened?! One of my favorite games. Did the upgrade to Jumbline 2 several years ago and, out of the blue, it just quits immediately after I open it. After several tries, I deleted it. Turned my iPad off and restarted. Downloaded the game again from the App Store. Same thing happens!
Whats the deal? I haven't updated my system version or anything!
Please help.
Downgrading my 5 stars until I can play again. Thank you.

To Developer: Thank you for your reply. Still doesn't work.
Steps I took-- I deleted current app before downloading updated version. Then, I powered off, to delete the old info. Next, I went to the J2fiPad app on the App Store and it didn't say "Install". It said "Open." I clicked Open, the screen briefly went to my iPad's main page, and nothing.
Interesting fact-- when I scroll through my pages I can't find the app. So, bottom line: on Apple app page it says Open, but when I search for it, its not visible. So, what next? I can't delete it again because I can't find it. Thanks!

Simple and awesome

I’ve had this game on every single device I’ve owned since it came out. It doesn’t have a lot of the bloat that causes so many games to eat up a ridiculous amount of memory, but it has all the basic anagram-solving features that I love. I love that you can play without a timer (“Classic” mode), and the fact that you are asked to list ALL the words actually provides useful hints in discovering additional words. It’s not beautiful like my other favorite word game, Wordscapes, but it’s relaxing and not annoying in any way (which is actually more rare if you think about it). I even don’t mind the music! My four-year old son used to ask to play it with me to relax before bed many years ago on my first smartphone during snuggle time, and I can’t think of another game that I would say yes to like this one. Happy memories of my (now teen) son and this game. Simple and awesome—thanks, devs!

Love this game

I'm rewriting this review because accidentally the "expert" words button in the game was "on" and the game was crazy. It changed the game by adding words I’ve never heard of. So, if it happens to you, check that first. I saw the +11 languages on the app description, and thought they had changed the game! Brainium was terrific in helping me. The +11 languages in the app description is wrong, but Brainium can't get it taken off. I went looking to see why my game wasn't acting correctly and found that the words had gone to only 5 letters, and the expert words were on. My dog had walked over my ipad and, unknown to me, his paw changed it! He turns things on in my car, too. Clever dog! The game is terrific, again. Download it. You'll like it.

Jumbline2

Love that its not timed. Gives you time to see all the possibilities. The fact that words are alphabetically organized makes it easier to find missing words. This is one of the first word games I put on my iPad 11 years ago and have been addicted ever since. Thank you developers for the constant updates.

Like this game a lot but...

I like this app as it reminds me of the old Text Twist that disappeared from the App Store. However, there are a couple of issues. When a game is over, why is one’s score not saved? It seems logical that one would want to improve one’s score when playing the next game but it’s nowhere to be seen. I find that odd. Maybe in the paid version? Also, what would prompt me to purchase the paid version? The ads don’t seem that annoying with this free version. I wish there was a way to find out! BTW, I also enjoy the Cloud Pop and Tower games. Score retention is an issue with those as well.

Great for learning!

Hi, this is a really nice game 😃 and is awesome for learning words and there is even different game modes! But there is ONE problem, one time they updated the game and then made different LANGUAGES, so you might be thinking that it’s a good thing for more languages because now more people can play, but it’s bad because it’s meant for English people and now sometimes I get confused about all the words. But anyway this is still a very good game and you should try it out yourself because I’m kinda bad at explaining this so you probably don’t really understand but if you do, great!

My favorite addiction!

This game gets easier the more you play it -- but not so easy that it loses its edge. It's fun, challenging (timed option), makes you feel oh, so clever, and is flat-out addictive. I've stayed up way too late playing just one more... then another ... and just one last time.

One star off for the recent explosion of super annoying ads. Plus, obscure words that reference ancient Greek sailing (slight exaggeration here) are not difficult; they are absurd.

Inconsistent solutions

There does not seem to be a set of words common to all puzzles. For instance most puzzles accept orc but not all puzzles accept roc. Proper words like ell aren’t used and sometimes the big word solution does not take valid words. I had to use pelted even though petrel is a valid and likely more common word. Still a diverting way to pass the time but annoying to not solve a puzzle completely when I didn’t use roc because the last puzzle rejected it.

My Daily Mental Jog

From the moment I could read, I enjoyed word games. This App quenches my thirst for daily wordplay. As a senior, I find this word jumble a relaxing way to remain mentally sharp. It is also an excellent way to continue building my vocabulary. When I discover a new word by guessing possibilities, it is most appreciated that I can tap the word to learn the definition and origin of the formerly unknown word.

Branium

I played it every day, but now they are using words from another language rather than English. I don’t care for that.
Please give an option for only English words, not those from the Far East!
