Kaia COPD offers you an individual therapy program that is tailored to your needs. Every day you will receive a mix of exercises including knowledge units, relaxation and movement. All content was developed in collaboration with lung specialists in order to offer you effective methods of pulmonary rehabilitation at home.
How to get your prescription:
Step 1: Download Kaia COPD and register in the app.
Step 2: Make a doctor's appointment. General practitioners and lung specialists can prescribe Kaia COPD.
Step 3: Get a prescription for Kaia COPD.
Step 4: Submit the prescription to your statutory health insurance. You can also use our prescription service in the Kaia app! Simply upload your prescription and we take care of sending it to the right person from your health insurance.
Step 5: You will receive an activation code from your health insurance. As soon as you enter it in the app, you get 12 weeks of free access to the Kaia COPD therapy program. Access expires automatically, you don’t sign up for a subscription and you do not have to cancel anything.

Medical purpose:
Kaia COPD is a medical product based on the concept of pulmonary rehabilitation for use by people with COPD. Each time the app is used, Kaia delivers new course units to promote physical activity and to help people proactively manage their COPD. Kaia COPD supports people aged 18 years or older with a diagnosis of COPD (J44.-) as long as contraindications and other causes for symptoms which require specific therapy are excluded. Kaia COPD cannot diagnose conditions or injuries and cannot replace a medical consultation.
Contraindications:
Advanced heart failure (I50.-), heart disease, other unexplained cardiovascular system disorders (I51.-)
Pulmonary embolism, pulmonary artery infarction (I26.-) or deep vein thrombosis (I80.2-)
Current infection/exacerbation with worsening dyspnea (J44.1-)
pregnancy (O09.-)
