Most people don't, which is why we built Kaptain. We have curated activity data across 33 outdoor sports and activities and built planning tools to make research, organizing with friends, and dreaming about your next outdoor experience fun and easy.
Outdoor gear is vital to a positive experience outside, which is why we have Gear garage. Add your gear to Kaptain, easily add it to packing lists, and track which adventures your gear joined you on.
We have featured local outdoor shops to make it easier to find the right gear and shop local.
Schedule activities - Simplify the planning process of your next outdoor experience by scheduling it on Kaptain. Invite friends, create packing lists, and know exactly where to meet up. The best part is that you want to plan out activities you want to do, you can label them as "ideas", so you can save them for when you are ready to get outside.
Build trips - Start planning your next epic adventure, all on Kaptain! Select as many locations as you want, multiple sports, and multiple activities. Coordinate on your packing lists and add your gear. And don't forget you don't need to add dates if you aren't ready to commit to a time frame. Label your trip as an idea to make brainstorming easy.

Makes it easy to find new things to do outside
Whenever I want to check out a new place, Kaptain is the best place to start. I also like the activity and scheduling features because it helps me coordinate with my friends. I’ve been adding my gear to Gear Garage which helps with packing lists. I know the app is knew so I am excited to see what else they build. I’m looking forward to when they release rentals and guides on the app.

Exactly what I needed!!
This App is exactly what I needed. I moved to Colorado from the Midwest, and with all the outdoor activities to do out here it’s like finding something to watch on Netflix…analysis paralysis! Kaptain is great for figuring out what you can do where you are and actually DOING IT! Great app!!

Great APP, very easy to use and helpful when planning a trip. Took all of the stress out of organizing an gave great suggestions on trails and gear. Good idea posting photos of trail heads and actual trails.
