Far More Than Just a Great Workout App
Over the last 30 years, I’ve become increasingly more focused and driven to push myself, and consistently injecting new challenges and variety has been the key to sustaining the drive. I’ve also slowly built a decent home gym over all these years so a lot of options were always at my disposal. Despite the options, I never really enjoyed or felt as consistently pushed than when simply going through flows with kettlebells.
In my search for next challenge, I luckily stumbled on the 14 day trial for the Kettlebell Swing app and quickly found myself dripping in sweat after every workout and loved it. It also isn’t just an app, and although I can now confidently say this is without question one the best workout apps in the store. It’s far more than just a workout app, it’s an actual gym in Chicago that has created a community I can only equate to those I’ve seen in Crossfit gyms. Multiple instructors in each workout motivating and instructing/training on a variety of options for each session. Everything about the experience has been so incredibly positive and I knew after only a couple workouts this was going to be something I wanted to continue using for the future. I’ve already recommended this to a number of my friends, and feel confident this is something anyone wanting to feel better about themselves should try.

You have to have this!
Coming from a person who was used to use kettlebells 5x a week at a gym (and leading KB sessions) to having to workout at home this was a gift from heaven! I had been using kettlebells for 4 years but once I had to switch to at home workouts I wasn’t as consistent as before. I found my motivation again with the great programming and now workout 7x a week, sneaking in a double once in a while. Great content, great coaching, cues are on point and needed when you’re getting tired in the 3rd/4th round, it’s like you have a personal coach in your house watching you workout! The mix of techniques and exercises are perfect- programming is all done for me, don’t have to spend time putting something together for myself. Hadn’t done snatches for more than a year, started at 12kg with this app, three weeks in and I’m at a 16kg. Go for it, you won’t regret it!

The best of my gym is now in my pocket!
I have been a member of CPG for about two years now and have never looked back. The energy, passion and knowledge the coaches share is contagious and motivates me to reach my goals. I have become stronger and generally healthier the last 2 years and I have CPG to thank! I was someone that would go to the gym about 5-6 days a week, so when things began to shut down I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to get my strength workout in. However, as always CPG delivered and developed “The Daily Swing” which is included in this app. Everyday a new killer workout is delivered to me, each including different exercises for every skill level. I’m still able to get my energy packed workout in everyday on my schedule, so I can still reach my goals. The app also includes many beginner skill videos so you can learn the basics if you’re a kettlebell newbie.

The app is fantastic. CPG is fantastic. I moved away from Chicago and have been searching the same kind of gym with this kind of energy, warmth and sweat. So obviously I was thrilled to be able to access the gym again and do the workouts from my home. I definitely workout more now than I ever have.

Prior to the app being available I did download a six week kettlebell program from another company which was great but I got real bored repeating the same exercises, same warm ups, same warm downs every day. Also everyone doing the workouts had no facial expressions.

The app is great because there is variety in what you’re doing. There is an intro to kettlebell movements which personally was a great refresher before jumping into the daily swings. After all you wanna #livetoswinganotherday. Also the 20 min on the min workouts are awesome. Be sure to check out Coach Pete’s flossing tutorial in one of them. I still can’t floss but I’m old so...

I think that’s what I like best about cpg- the coaches are lovely, funny and encouraging people. They don’t give up on you or judge you. Every workout you’ll sweat, laugh and feel STRONG. It’ll also make things feel at least a little normal right now. CPG is a great community and it’s one of a kind.

GREAT gym, GREAT app, GREAT workouts
Hubby and I have been training with kettlebells at home for at least 10 years. We follow a couple of trainers but stumbled across CPG around quarantine. We are really enjoying these workouts! The workouts are suitable for anyone - whether you’re a kettlebell fanatic or not. It’s a great change of pace and ... get ready for a very sweaty very engaging workout every day ... these coaches bring ENERGY and POSITIVITY every single day. Their chemistry is authentic and the workouts are really well constructed. The app is great too... access to daily workouts, access to a library of mini workouts and various resources. Could not have come at a better time. Thanks Coach Grant and Coach Sean. One day...when I can visit Chicago... I look forward to drop in workouts at Chicago Primal Gym!

Love, love, love
I’m getting better workouts in my living room than when I belonged to a gym. Grant and Sean and the other coaches have changed me from someone who hated strength training to being absolutely in love with in just a matter of two weeks! They are so motivating on screen and do a great job of talking you through different movements, and you can guarantee you are always in for an intense workout with them. Plus I love the way they have three different workout cards to follow in each session to hit various needs. Their technique videos on the app are spot on to help you learn new moves. Shoutout to Coach Lauren, who in thirty minutes brought my form on some of the exercises from 0 to 100! I am so excited to continue my membership with them!

Finally!
I have been WAITING for a way to continue working out with Chicago Primal Gym’s coaching that works for me. After moving from the city to the burbs, I was not able to make it into the gym as much as previously and I was often overwhelmed trying to plan out what my workout would be for the day. This app makes it easy to get a good workout in, in a predictable amount of time. The constant encouragement from the coaches keeps me from calling it quits when I start to feel tired. I can feel the sense of community that makes this gym so special though the video workouts and find myself laughing along as if I were there in person. 10/10 from me!

Great Content - Structure, Instruction and Motivation
I am not a great workout at home person, I find it very difficult to get motivated and unsure of how to structure my workouts. This app provides AMAZING content. The structure I crave as long as that extra push I need from these great coaches. They will push you while also reminding you to be safe and know your limits. I miss the gym and being in person so much but these workouts still push me and create some competition with the coaches working out. In addition to motivation, these coaches are great at providing cues to ensure your form is on point as well. Can’t say enough good things about these workouts!

Great for on the go or full lockdown
The app is super easy to navigate and provides all you need to keep up your fitness when you can’t make it to a live class.

Having the option for 20 minute kettlebell workouts is great if you need/want to split your gym time or just want a more focused session.

Access to fresh content daily is unheard of in most fitness apps but these guys/gals bring it everyday and keep it fresh! Would recommend to anyone looking for a some more direction in their fitness programming without wanting to be a micromanaging psycho. Great job with this!!

Makes it easy to workout
I’ve been using this for the past two weeks to get in at home workouts, which is something I’ve never been able to do before consistently. It’s nice to truly not need any equipment to really get a good sweat, and to not have to think about counting reps/sets...all you have to do is hit play. Also appreciate the 20min workout options, for when I can’t get my brain to commit to 45min (even though they’re not really any easier, sneaky). Great energy and tips on form from the coaches also.
