This is the most important resource for comic collectors since the Overstreet Price Guide.
Key Collector Comics is a free mobile app that focuses exclusively on identifying which comics are the key issues from the Golden Age of comics up until today.
There are approximately 30,000 comics that have been identified as a “key” including character first appearances, origin stories, iconic cover art and any milestone moment in comics that make an issue valuable or define a character and the universe in which they exist.
Use Key Collector Comics when you’re flipping through a long box to make certain you don’t let anything valuable or interesting slip past you. There is also a simplified price guide for ungraded books to quickly reference when making a purchase. You can also inventory what key issues you own or build a wish list for the books you want.
It has been endorsed by Alex Ross and Neal Adams who often do giveaways on the app. There are no advertisements and no dollar bin drek. Just keys, no clutter.

Continuous Innovation Keeps Key Collector #1
I find myself humbled often mixing with Comic Industry Professionals regularly & Innovation in our Industry is a regular topic. While 2018 has been a year of Growth & Change, with many of the biggest names settling into new positions with publishers; we see all types of change taking place and it’s exciting! The introduction of Multiple Media formats growing so fast, Web Comics, Kickstarters, Disney’s acquisition of FOX, DC Streaming, Disney Streaming, speculation markets driven by decisions made and titles optioned, not to mention new indie companies springing up daily, it the Key Collector App that keeps me at the top of my game! I’ve seen the app grow from an incredible product to something I can’t live without! It’s one of the first things I do everyday, check the new specs, hot keys, what’s new, and the addition of new features regularly have kept the Key Collector both Useful & quite frankly, Awesome! Key Collector is my Killer App of 2018! Make it yours! And if your not a subscriber; I highly recommend taking advantage of the added features, it’s more than a bargain! Thanks Nick! I have been waiting to review this app as I have been using it for almost a year now. I honestly can't say enough good things about it. It breaks down things into different subsections to allow even more ease of use. I personally love the spec deck. I also love how easy it is to search for comics. It is ever expanding, so if you don't see something (can't wait for Phantom Stranger to get some love/listings) just wait. There is always new content. I actually just look at what's recently added every other day or so just to see if I can learn something new. This app is a comic collectors best friend. If you own a store or ebusiness it is also great for keeping up with what's new and getting hot, or also what's cooling off so you don't get caught overpaying for particular "hot books". Really this is the best thing to happen to comics since Wizard magazine for those old enough to remember. Maybe the best thing since Bob Overstreet started his world famous price guide. Like I said before, I can't say enough good things about this app.

Almost perfect!
Incredible tool for anyone wanting to get started in collecting. The comic world is immense and this will help you choose a path. The updates are really quick too. Seems to keep track of pricing and developments very fast. This app is totally worth paying for. Two nit-picks. I’m a designer so the UX and look of the app leaves quite a bit to desire aesthetically. As a tool, there is a lot of back and forth between section when you are searching for books. Slows things down when you’re on the hunt. It would be better to have a centralized/universal navigation system. Second, I’d love for this to work in landscape mode on my iPad! That way I can have it open while on the other half of my iPad I can have websites or my Library of books open. Honestly the app is great and everyone collecting should have!!!

Fantastic concept. No ads! Room to improve.
Great as a comic speculation blog. Pretty good as a collection management tool. Values for the CGC comics I entered only populated 20% of the time. Love the easy “Low, Mid, High” grading for quick cataloging of my collection, but the values for “low” and “mid” are all dramatically lower than the cheapest “Buy it Now” on eBay. Good to know a rough liquidation value, but as you can enter the amount you paid for the comic and it will calculate “net value” I think there is great potential to improve accuracy. The link to eBay is awesome, but there’s some sticker shock when the $7 mid-grade value sleeping key turns out to actually be $50 on the market already. Overall though, cool app.

Comes in very handy when you are rummaging through the dollar bins or at a garage sale . Sure, many of us can spot many keys when we see them , but things change and nowadays with a lot of cover “swipes “ it’s hard to keep up. This app allows you to go through a stack and quickly find 1st appearance , costume change ,etc. very very helpful. The only ppl who grumble about the app are those that are salty that the “average” joe can find keys out in the wild and not ONLY comic book aficionados.- this does tend to tick them off - which is why you will see some derogatory trolls

Excellent app
I have had a great experience using this app. Full of free information that has helped me grow my collection. It has also given me knowledge and insight into collecting comics. Keeping track of my collection has been made easy. Also have a direct link to eBay to see what’s trending is great. I have been able to find keys cheep and catch deals early. This has helped me avoid price inflation. When I am out shopping. I have used the app to reference issues that I did not know were keys. I would have missed out on very valuable issues. Excellent for beginners as well as the experienced

So, downloaded the app to find all the first appearances of my favs and especially stuff I didn’t know about. App did great at digging down and catching the B players that always get missed but get played in the after movie credits. Liked the app then

Paid the measly, almost comically low price, got three alerts, ordered the books before the public knew and paid for my subscription for the next 5 years!! Love the app now. Like truly, if you speculate and you don’t have this app..thanks, more for me. They’re still updating but even now, nothing beats it.

Get em BEFORE their hot!
Yes this has an ever-growing database of keys for hundreds of characters across several universes, yes it is constantly updated with new contests and giveaways, yes I spend hours just looking through the comics related to different characters, learning things I didn’t know before... but what I love the most about this app is that it sends me notifications as soon as news happens as to what key comic is related to the news so I can seek out the comic and snatch it up before it gets hot. It really is an innovative app and a great way to keep track which keys you have and which ones you want. And definite MUST HAVE for any comic books collector or fan!

Beyond useful and enjoyable!
Been using the app for some time now and find it fairly essential. Went through my entire collection and added everything. It’s extremely informative and I enjoy all the daily updates. Kudos to the dev team for creating and maintaining such a valuable tool! A true must for anyone that either enjoys collecting or investing. The only minor change I would like to see is a way to track the issues in your collection that have pricing updates. Any chance in the future that an alert or notification is a possibility?

This site is helpful to buyers and sellers of new and old, silver age, gold age bronze ? Whatever it may be this app has it. Still a few bugs that need to be worked out. Such as the search is a little funny when you look up specific books the titles don’t always pop up. Understand it’s for key issues but it’d be helpful for certain runs to have all the books prices Available. But other than that this app is super useful. You can find out the price you pay what you want to sell it for and the net value. . Just awesome .
