KhojGurbani Media is a mobile application that offers an unrivalled Gurmat Sangeet and Gurbani experience.
Running on a crowd-sourced platform, KhojGurbani Media offers an unmatched collection of live Gurbani kirtan and podcasts that include: 25000 + recordings in different styles rendered in traditional and contemporary styles by a diverse group of exponents (ragis); daily Nitnem Banis and podcasts from A Sabad A Day, a world-wide KhojGurbani initiative to collectively read the Guru Granth Sahib, one passage a day with an exegesis [Katha] in English and Punjabi.
Functionally rich, KhojGurbani Media provides the ability to:
- Search for any track, Ragi or recording in multiple ways
- Download and listen offline
- Neatly organize a Library to see all liked and added kirtan, playlists and artists subscribed to

Download keertan and listen offline!
This app allows you to listen to various ragis, find shabads and see a library of ragis who have sung it and download it or create a playlist. When you select a shabad to listen to, the translation also shows up. Best part is being able to download keertan and nitnem so I can listen later without using up my data. I can create playlists and favorite tracks or ragis. Highly recommend. I didn’t have to worry about installing keertan on my phone dot my figures with the ability to download. Also cool that there are various radios available to listen to along with the saabad a day.

An asset for the Panth
*Khoj Gurbani* has evolved beautifully!
Gurbani collection is so vast and combined with ability to see text and translations while listening is extremely useful.
Shabad-a-day podcast in English and Punjabi is such an asset for the entire community. It is like a Sehaij path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, one sabad every day, with meanings.
English specifically allows one and all, kids and adult alike, to connect directly with our Guru’s bani, irrespective of their current comfort level with Gurmukhi or Punjabi. That is a treasure for the entire panth, especially those growing up in west!
Highly encourage for anyone who has an interest in understanding or even listening to Gurbani

Amazing content and interface
I just stated using this application last week, i am enjoying all the content and its very user friendly and creative how the design is layed out.
I do have couple of requests
1. When playing in locked screen on apple, “next track” option is not available, rather 10s forward only.
2. When i am listening to shabad in my car connected via Bluetooth, i am not able to goto next shabad, might be related to above.
3. Some of the shabads i found are tagged with incorrect raggi, i am tracking thise in my playlist, if u are interested i can send those ur way so ur team can fix it.
Again thank you all for this great application.

Gurbani at your fingertips
This is a great app for sangat, be it beginners who have started to listen to baani or advanced sangat who are used to listening to paath and Kirtan and now can have it at their finger tips. I like the fact that it has various baani and Kirtan by different raagis at one place. Very easy to use and search for paath or Kirtan by raagis.

What an amazing one stop shop for all Gurbani needs. From a rich collection of Shabads from all eras to scripture search, Khoj Gurbani has become the right medium to serve our souls. The Spotify of Sikh Sacred Music
A wonderful app and a groundbreaking achievement. It’s delightful to see “Sabad a Day” with rich commentary in both English and Panjabi available through this app. I also like the ease of discovery of Kirtan and the ability to create playlists like Spotify. On top of this the Kirtan is accompanied by the text of the Shabad and its translation. There is also advanced search functionality to search within Guru Granth Sahib ji. Last but not least, the app supports multiple translations like those from Prof. Sahib Singh, Giani Harbans Singh, Manmohan Singh and others in both English and Panjabi.
