Visit the King Abdulaziz Memorial Hall, one of the main elements of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) and enjoy the historical legacy of the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz bin Abdurrahmann Al Saud, his personal effects and possessions, and milestones from his personal and public life.
The objects on display in the hall are divided into three main sections, the first of which portrays the life of King Abdulaziz, including written texts and photographs that depict King Abdulaziz's life beginning with the history of the ruling family, followed by the First and Second Saudi States, the youth of King Abdulaziz, his recapture of Riyadh, and his efforts in unifying the Kingdom and building the modern state.
The subject of the second section consists of the King's private library, including rare works and books collected by King Abdulaziz. Some of the volumes are embellished with handwritten dedications to the King.
In the third section, a number of historical items, photographs, and maps of importance to King Abdulaziz and the history of the state during his lifetime, in addition to a diverse collection of the King's personal belongings. One of the sections of the Hall displays King Abdulaziz's motor vehicles, including a 1946 Rolls Royce that was gifted to him by the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, alongside an old Pierce-Arrow automobile from the 1930s.
