Dont bother downloading if you didnt save your warship rising data
Mo help from tech support on how to get everything you had on the old game transferred over. Contacted them. They dont seem to understand that youre trying to bring what took years to get to this new version and do t really seem to care that you spent time and mo ey in some cases to get it. Unless youre new to this or just feel like starting all over again with nothing i guess its time to move on to something else. Waste of time. Four years in warship rising gone.

Annoying Voiceover Ruins Gaming Experience
This game is actually a merging of a perfectly good game “World Of Warship” with its Asian counterpart. The current owning company is Chinese. More on that below. The original, WOW, was a great game, and I should know, because I’ve been playing it for about five years. However, once it got merged, the quality immediately tanked in one key aspect. Mind you, the game looks exactly the same. Once you jump through about a dozen hoops in the migration, you’d never know the difference. With one huge exception. Battles. Yes. The very reason you play a game like this is to blow stuff up. You can still do that, but the game has a different voice-over narration that really destroys the entire gaming experience. WOW had this two, in two different ways. One was a young, intensely masculine voice that gave you the occasional update or warning in short, clipped phrases, almost mimicking the stressed interaction on a ship’s bridge during battle. The new one… I can’t stress it enough, is as far from that as possible. The voice is some foreigner’s attempt to sound like what a different culture wants an old sea-salt, crusty captain would sound like, and indeed, when I listen to it, I think they are ludicrously channeling Captain Avatar from the first season of Star Blazers TOS. While that would be annoying in its own right, this new edition has to describe EVERYTHING YOU’RE DOING OR WHAT’S GOING ON in nauseatingly long sentences. Think Tolstoy versus Hemingway. Tolstoy uses 3 1/2 chapters to describe what Hemingway could wrap up in a paragraph. Anyway, I digress. To give you a flavor for the differences, when a battle began in WOW, you heard “Begin!” in that youthful, masculine voice. Now you hear this silly, “Defcon 4” or something equally ridiculous. A WOW taunt, “Is that it?” is now “Is that all you’ve got? Go back to school!” “Our ship has been spotted” is now “Our ship has been spotted by the enemy” as if we need to be concerned about being spotted by our own side. “Alert! Mine detected” is now “Be careful. Mine detected in nearby waters” - as if it was important to be worried about mines clear across the ocean! When you upgrade a weapon, or do something similar, it tells you what you did in a very looooong sentence. I HATE THIS!!! I’m a grown-up, experienced with the game, and am reasonably intelligent. I DON’T NEED TO BE TOLD WHAT BUTTON I JUST PRESSED. Also, it uses the word missiles instead of shells. The ships of this era are from WW2. They didn’t carry missiles. This may sound minor, but it grates on the nerves after awhile, especially when you’re hearing literally three of them at a time, and because they go on literally forever, it ends up sounding like so much noise, when you’re listening for hits, explosions, warnings, etc. I have complained about this multiple times to the company, and it literally ignores me. It just doesn’t care about its gaming customers. Honestly. I’ve asked for them to go back to the old voice and phrasing. I’ve asked them for an update that keeps the battle sounds, but eliminates the stupid Captain Avatar voice. Crickets. Zilch. Nothing. Nada. Because it is owned by a Chinese company, the only thing I can figure on is that whoever is doing the translation is doing it literally word for word. Some of the phrasing it like listening to tired old Communist Party anthems from the 60s. Really. It’s silly. It’s annoying. It’s exhausting. If I was looking to play a game like this for the first time, I would not pick this game. The only way I’ve managed to cope is that I turn the sound COMPLETELY OFF, which takes a great deal away from the gaming experience. I you’re a newbie at naval warfare, download a different game.
