Klaverjassen is one of the most popular card games in the Netherlands, traditionally played in cafes and social clubs, as well as at home. The game is for 4 players who play in pairs, sitting opposite each other. The game has a number of variants, named after the cities where they originated: Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
The object of the game is to score as many points as possible in 16 hands. In competition games the players on one table will rotate so as to have had each of the other three as a partner, so playing 3 sets of 16 hands.
In each hand the object of the game is for the player (and partner) who chooses trumps to collect more than half of the available points. If they fail to do this then they score nothing at all and the opposing pair receives all of the points.
Points are collected by taking tricks containing valuable cards, and also as bonus points during the play.

Even more addicting than the previous version
Klaverjassen, originally a Dutch game, is a very addictive card game. This App captures the essence of the game perfectly ! The virtual players have improved visibly and the game is a joy to play. Keep up the great work !

Great app !
I just love this game ! I used to play this card game years ago but now I don't know anybody anymore who know how to play the game. With this app I can play it again - just awesome ! Only 1 negative point: when I stop in the middle of the game and resume after a long time it doesn't have the same cards anymore but it starts with different cards and only one card left. So because of that it gets 4 stars. But overall a great game.

Goed en over algemeen logisch van opzet.
Goed spel, ik speel het regelmatig. Prettig dat er vele mogelijkheden zijn voor diverse spel varianten.
Zelf speel ik alleen Rotterdams en kan dus niet over de andere vormen oordelen.
Heel af en toe doet de computer ook wel eens iets doms. Dat maakt het echter want mensen laten ook wel eens een steekje vallen. Ik weet niet of dat expres zo geprogrammeerd is maar het komt het spel ten goede.
Een paar puntjes voor verbetering:
1- het knopje voor terugkijken laatste slag heeft een erg klein aanraak vlak. Hierdoor komt het regelmatig voor dat ipv de laatste slag nog even te zien de kaarten geruimd worden.
2- Zelfde geldt voor de terug knop (de kromme pijl linksboven ).
3- het schuiven van links naar rechts vv van het scherm waarop het eigen spel met dat van de computer kan worden vergeleken loopt niet echt soepel. Regelmatig moet ik twee keer "vegen" om want scherm te wisselen.
Voor de rest een heerlijk spel!

Great game!
Ik speelde dit kaartspel altijd in Nederland met vrienden en familie. Ik woon sedert 1980 in de USA en dit programma brengt weer een stukje Nederland terug in mijn leven. Speel het iedere dag. Niet altijd even goed, maar mijn maat schelt nooit als ik me vergooi).
