KOTKI visuals create live experiences in the field of multimedia & interactive art, performance & installation art, event video design & visuals for music, contemporary dance & theatre.
The studio was founded in 2006, in Bucharest, by media artists Mihaela Kavdanska & Dilmana Yordanova, after several years of artistic collaborations. They were among the first in Eastern Europe, to implement new technologies & approaches in visual & performing arts, live communication & advertising.
KOTKI visuals create & develop interactive platforms & interfaces to connect in new ways people, artistic media & spaces. Human to human interaction, body & movements, very often play important role in KOTKI visuals’ projects. The 3D video mapping on static (augmented facades, objects & spaces) or moving surfaces (dancers), is widely used in their projects. The work process frequently involves interdisciplinarity.
During the last 10 years of activity, KOTKI’s portfolio includes almost 100 projects, realized for a vast array of clients & partners: museums & other cultural organizations, corporate clients, brands, live communication & advertising agencies, festivals, dance & theater companies and tens of unconventional novelty projects around Europe and United States.
