The app brings together artworks from the collections of Tate and Shanghai Museum. Explore these paintings in playful augmented reality, find details and create new artworks of your own.
Place the artworks in your own space and watch them transform into beautiful animated worlds. Collect objects within them and use those details to create new images and landscapes of your own to save or share. Artists include Dong Qichang, Yun Shouping, Dai Benxiao, John Singer Sargent, Paul Nash and John Constable
What you'll do in Landscapes Reimagined:
- See ten stunning works of art up close
- Explore animated worlds inspired by the paintings
- Find and collect elements within the paintings like dogs, birds and plants
- Create your own collages in AR to save and share
- Add filters to your artworks
This app is part of a research project, ’Shaping the Connected Museum II’, funded by the AHRC. The partners include Shanghai Museum, Tate, Factory 42, The Mixed Reality Lab (The University of Nottingham), NVIDIA-Joint Lab on Mixed Reality (University of Nottingham Ningbo China), and The University of Exeter.
