New feature! We got an email a few days ago asking for the ability to add multiple windows in the app, so we made it happen. We have added the ability to add additional windows to the app so that you can keep track of multiple different locations at once. Its kind of similar to bookmarks, but more like opening a new tab in Safari.

- You can now remove bookmarks again. Just swipe to the left on the bookmark row and a delete button will appear.
- We added the ability to add a description to bookmarks. This will help you keep better track of why you are saving that particular spot.
- We now add the verse into the bookmark as well. When you save a bookmark, it now saves the top verse that is on the screen as the bookmark. This is helpful because no matter the number of languages you have on display, the bookmark will consistently go to the correct spot.
- We made some minor UI modifications to make the app experience more consistent and awesome.

Love but it disappears?!
I have been loving this app but several times it won’t open. I go to open it and it acts like it’s going to open but then just disappears. It’s frustrating because I mark words but since it won’t open I have to delete the app and then reinstall. However then my markings aren’t there. I’ve had to do this several times. Why does it disappear randomly?!? I could give it a 5 if this did not happen.

Second Language Doesn’t Stick
This app is practical and convenient to use for scripture reading and learning a language. In LDS Tools, I would have to switch between screens, so I’m thrilled to have a split-screen view of the scriptures in different languages. The translations are adequate and consistent. What isn’t consistent is that delightful split-screen view of the languages I am studying. Every time I exit out of the app — not suspending or closing, but exiting — it resets to display only the English text; this means I have to scroll all the way down the language menu to click on Russian every time I log back into the app. I would love to see this fixed, and I’ve looked all over the app to see if there was an option or mechanic to keep my desired language settings. Lastly, I think it would be great if the user could swap which language goes in which column, meaning, for example, I could choose to have the Russian translation on the left column and the English version on the right instead of having each language locked into right and left respectively. This technique helps me and others learn different languages.

Very good but not perfect.
I was very excited to get this app, as I have interest in several languages and love to read the scriptures in two or more languages at the same time. However, since one of the languages that I like to read in is Mandarin Chinese, I was most interested in the Pinyin option to help me with my sounds and especially tones. I am much disappointed to see that while all of the sounds/tones associated with the Chinese characters are present in the correct order in Pinyin, THEY ARE NOT PROPERLY BROKEN INTO THE CHINESE WORDS THE PINYIN LETTERS ARE SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT. THEY SEEM TO BE JUST RANDOMLY SEPARATED INTO ‘WORDS’ WHICH IS VERY CONFUSING. Even though Chinese words are all written in characters, with even spacing, most words are compounds of two or more characters and the Pinyin should be grouped into those word compounds, not just randomly spaced into ‘words’.

Helps you learn the Gospel and another language!
I have increased my spirituality and it’s helped Foster my second language all at the same time so I can study one complete time and it’s so easy to understand and has all of the hard words that aren’t frequently used in your day-to-day conversations. The different languages are side-by-side so if you get tripped up you can look instantly and get back on track. Thank you for this app

What happened?
I was used to reading the Book of Mormon in English and Portuguese, side by side. Now, the Portuguese translation no longer appears. I used the email link in the app to contact the developers and it bounced back. What is going on?
Update - The Portuguese translation now appears and I can hear the audio of the scriptures, but it is very fast. There is no control of speed. I tried to contact the developers, and the web page is blank. Things are getting better, so I am upping my rating from one to three stars, but they aren’t there yet.

Would Be Great If it Worked (but it doesn’t...)
I bought the app to read Chinese, Pinyin, and English side-by-side (which is the entire purpose of the app).
Once I successfully downloaded the languages I wanted within the app (which was buggy and I’m not sure what I did to make it finally work), I turned them on in the settings. Then I went to library to select a chapter of the Book of Mormon, buuut the library tells me that the ONLY content available for my languages is General Conference. Not want I wanted to read, but okay I guess.
When I click on General Conference (because it’s the ONLY option for Chinese and Pinyin) the app takes me to a different iTunes Store page to pay for their General Conference language study app. So the app that I paid for literally has zero content available for my languages. Alright.
Waiting for my payment to be processed so that I can get a refund.

Such a timesaver!
We used to read with chapter pulled up in English while we read from the book in Spanish and, for the last twelve months, French. This is so much easy to use than to have two separate sources. When i come across a word or phrase that I don't understand, I just look on the English side to understand. And if I need more clarification, I can select individual words to obtain their direct translation.

Needed changes
I'd like the ability to select the order of languages on the page. Right now it appears to be alphabetical, and the first language will by default also set the menu language. I.E. deutsch cones before English alphabetically, so German became the left hand side la gauge and also the menu language, even though I didn't want it this way..

Best Language Scripture App
I am extremely grateful for this app! I went to Chile on my mission so I can brush up on my Spanish easily with this app but what I love most is that if I am interested in learning another language like German I have the side by side comparison so I quickly grasp the syntax, vocabulary, conjugation all while focusing on scripture study. I really can’t say enough great things about this app!

Learning Spanish
I downloaded this app when my second child went on a Spanish speaking mission. I have read through all of Mosiah and am starting in on Alma now. Along the way I highlight words I need to learn and save them in my notes. It is such a great way to read the Book of Mormon! I understand a lot more now when I attend the Spanish branch in our stake!
