---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leap of Fate is a unique blend of isometric perspective, furiously-paced action, and roguelike elements. As one of four technomages hiding in the shadows of New York City, your time has come to confront the Crucible of Fates, a mysterious testing ground that will magically pit you against your own psychological demons. Your journey through the Crucible has you fighting hordes upon hordes of enemies and overcoming deviously laid traps. Your tools are your lightning-fast shadow walk, the powerful glyphs you find, and the magical skills that you upgrade along the way. Your reward for survival? Unspeakable power and a chance to uncover your true fate.

Key Features:
- Experience an extremely fast and satisfying action game, built around the ability to Shadow Walk
- Upgrade over a hundred magical skills, through an innovative system of randomly-generated skill trees
- Discover the profound and intense stories of four characters, told through beautifully illustrated cinematics
- Explore a modern-day cyberpunk fantasy spanning cybernetics labs, dark alleys and secret societies

The challenge
Combat in Leap of Fate is extremely quick and deadly. Not only will you face more than a hundred different types of enemies, ranging from pit fighters to mad cultists and hidden turrets, but the procedurally generated levels will keep you on your toes at all times. Be warned; once you die, you must restart from the beginning and try again. Hopefully, you'll have unlocked new permanent upgrades to help you along.

Magic
Within each game session, you will find many opportunities to gain magical power. In addition to the game-altering glyphs you randomly find along the way, there are more than a hundred magical abilities total, spread across the Mobility, Attack and Passive skill trees. The twist in Leap of Fate is that skill trees are randomly shuffled, ensuring that each game differs from the previous one. On one run, you'll float over pits and disintegrate enemies with Atomic Flash, while in the next, you'll be wielding a projectile-reflecting technology while calling upon the Greys to abduct your foes for you.

Characters
In Leap of Fate, you play one of four mages, each with their own distinct gameplay style and storyline:
- Aeon, the shadow mage: Psychologically scarred by years of oppression in a secret society
- Big Mo, the cyborg technomancer: Wrestling to come to terms with his dual nature
- Mukai, the spirit channeler: Struggling to regain control of her mind from three powerful entities
- Rasimov, the rogue occultist: A centuries-old mage on an endless quest to cheat death

They say this place makes you face your own fears, your own demons. But it can also reveal your fate, if you survive the trials.

Torin360,
One of the best!!!
What a great surprise! I downloaded this game having run through the top game charts over and over and over again. It is very rare that a game can hold my attention until I am interrupted. For the last few months I have been on a cycle of a few freemium games that make me wait to play. I will play one then by the time I'm done doing the "dailys" the next app comes up ready for its daily rewards / quests. This is the game that I have come back to again and again over the last few days. This is one of the best dual stick shooters on the market and it is definitely the most unique I have ever played. The card aspect of this game makes every round unique and each round builds upon the last for upgrades and unlocks. One thing that would be great is a system for global upgrades that exist between characters and perhaps some kind of online co-op. IMO pay to play is one of the things killing good games from being developed. Please support a great game that does not include any aspects of the micro transaction. There are no ads to deal with or pay to play aspects! Thank you for this game!!!
Watzzit Tooyah,
Legit one of the best games on the App Store
I sincerely expected this to be in the top ten charts. Or at least top fifty. It's not even top 100, even for paid games. That's an awful shame because it's one of the best mobile games I've ever played, and that's coming from a guy who gets bored easily with rougelikes. The characters are unique, the gameplay is simple, yet challenging and rewarding. Not much feels more satisfying than fighting and scrapping your way to leveling up into a levitating, exploding, teleporting Demigod(dess) of a sorcerer that nobody can get close to. It's also nice that the gameplay is broken up into pieces, letting you quickly pick it up, play a level, and put the game away until next time. Every run is unique due to randomized upgrades meaning you might have a great run turning you into said demigod(dess), or a sorry run that kills you on the first level.
That doesn't even mention the nice aesthetics, great soundtrack, and everything else that just delivers a well-polished experience so unlike so many trash games on the App Store nowadays.
Honestly it's just a great game. Give it a try.
Selppaekili,
Great Roguelite
I haven't written many reviews lately due to few games worth reviewing, but I assure you that this a a quality mobile game. The roguelite structure feels right at home on mobile and the production of this game has already been praised from steam so if you're in doubt refer to those other reviews other than that, great concept and a solid execution for the mobile library! We need more cyberpunk games.

Update: This game is well worth more than its asking price. The replayability is great! If you think you've seen it all in normal mode, hard mode has so much more to offer. The feeling of beating your high score or just accomplishing the run with certain achievements feels so satisfying as it takes a little luck and a lot of skill. Support the developers and get this game if you enjoy Roguelite games!

P.S. Please look up Roguelite or Rogue-like games if you don't know what they are, read a review earlier that clearly did not know what they were getting into and decided to take it out in a poor review.
Baron-Munchausen,
Holy Cow.
First off, I've been playing this game for about an hour nonstop and it's amazing. I love dual-stick shooters and this is among the most beautiful, unique, and polished in all the App Store. I keep thinking Transistor (one of my favorites of all time) in a dual-stick shooter format. This game is so good, they could have asked for a lot more in terms of price; it's a steal.
My only complaint (and I hope the devs are reading this) is that the camera is a bit too sensitive to every movement. When you've got to do a lot of dodging, it can be a bit jarring. I think it could be easily smoothed over in an update (it's certainly not a deal breaker nor does it take away from gameplay).
Anyway, amazing job, Devs. Thank you for making this amazing game and thanks for bringing it to iOS!

Update: I still adore this amazing shooter but I’d love to see iPhone XR screen compatibility. Please!

New and Improved
This game is brilliant. It's whole play style is fun and enticing. It's replay ability is ever growing, it's music is interesting, and lastly the skill tree is pretty neat. I'm not sure if it is randomly generated or not but either way it's a cool aspect to the game. However what makes this game new is its card aspect. I wish they were randomized but it's okay and still fun without that feature. So why the 4 stars? Well I am playing on an IPhone 5S and its controls are kind of clunky. What does this mean? Well let's say I'm running around during a combat card and I start using abilities, basic attacks, or just trying to run away every so often I'll just stop, it has to be from my thumb not staying on the screen correctly. Overall the game is fun the controls really aren't too bad and I would say if you have a tablet or something similar this game would be a must have. For iPhone users like myself, pay for the game to help the creators, it really should have been an 8 dollar game.
Fishsmellr,
Great somewhat challenging
This is a cool game. Very smooth and beautiful with a lot of goodies to get. They were very creative with the glyphs and upgrades. The different characters offer exciting play styles to switch things up. I wonder how far some epic dude has gone through it. That is if there isn't an end. I was debating giving four or five stars. It's like asking what happiness is to a person. It always varies. But given the controls, fluidity, beautiful environments and upgrades to keep you busy it's all good with a 5. I like how if you exit the game while still being alive and come back to it you can resume. Although when it crashed 1 time out of 2 it did erase my progress and start all over. But hey I like the perms death keeps things fresh. Just maybe fix the crashes in a future update?

Fantastic game
For months I've been searching for a game to occupy my time. I've been very disappointed with the gaming industry recently due to all of the pay to play being applied. This game has so much opportunity to force us to pay for amazing features, but does not. Instead it provides the player with an amazing and immersive experience of this crazy and rapid unique dungeon crawler with this insane setting and theme. It's a really great game and a lot of heart went into it. It's crazy and super fun. This is the only review I've ever written and I don't think I'll ever write another one because writing reviews are boring
HydroPhydro,
Good but...
This is a decent game. The premise is interesting, and the gameplay would be good except that it is borderline unplayable on an iPhone 5c. I realize the 5c has less power but it chugs constantly when too many things are happening. The controls are bad. Instead of you holding a location on a screen and a fixed joystick appears the joystick moves freely which can make it so you try to turn and your finger goes off of the screen entirely. For my screen size everything is ridiculously small, it makes my eyes hurt to even look at it, never-mind keep track of enemy fire. If you have an iPhone 5c it isn't a good experience but If you had a better phone it would probably be alright.
Ozymandias12,
Finally
This game, Leap of Fate, is among the best twin-stick shooters available on the AppStore, and is, by far, the best action-roguelite available for iOS devices. The controls are extremely responsive and work beautifully, even during the most frantic and chaotic magic-fueled brawls. Ragdoll physics provide unbelievably tangible feedback, permadeath is balanced delicately against permanent progression, and it just feels ultra-cool to play as a technomancer in the fantastically presented occult/sci-fi world that the devs obviously put insane amounts of care into creating. A must-buy for Shadowrun, Isaac, and bullet-hell/twin-stick shooter fans.
Aka:Traps,
Guaranteed Fun and Challenging!
I have seen this game floating around the App Store for at least 2 yrs, always thought it looked cool. I haven’t had good luck with twin stick shooters with iPhone usually cause how small this iphone is and yes it does make it more difficult but this game is fantastic it’s a really well done rogue-lite-like twin stick shooter with gorgeous graphics, magic spells and grenades! what more can you ask for.

If you haven’t tried this game yet, like me, and you’re in to punishing games, get it!
