Only one trial lesson
But it is really good and the most convenient way to learn but especially to practice with no extra hardware, notebooks, etc. I'm unclear what a complete course actually consists of because the app seems to be divided into 3 parts and in each part several lessons (or at least part 1 as far as I can tell). But it's lightweight software unlike Rosetta Stone and NOT $300+ unlike Rosetta Stone. It has ACTFL's mark, too (if any TEFL educators care.)

I am happy with this app!
This is the app, which I was searching for German language. Lesson instructions are easy to understand and follow, got good practice sections and the app does't kills huge time to learn. Perfect for my kind of users.

Good: native speakers, male & female; good audio; ability to read German and English equivalent
Bad: not very engaging (no games, matching, etc.); writing component of lesson is useless because everything get's auto-corrected to English; vocabulary window not wide enough to show all definitions; "practice 2" just a message to visit the website; no dictionary; app sometimes crashes when hitting submit on quiz

"No hidden cost"? I call BS.
This app clearly states in the description: "NO HIDDEN COST: There is no hidden cost inside. Once you buy the app, you can access everything inside without asking for extra payment at later stage."
This app went on sale for free (down from $15) and guess what? Only Level 1, Lesson 1 is available for free and every other lesson has a price tag over it ($1.99 each).

Not full version
Description is misleading, only the first lesson is free and the remaining 29 lessons are $1.99 each. The first lesson only covers a simple introduction and based on it's content, I wouldn't pay $1.99 for each lesson. The flash cards are nice but don't justify the cost.

Looks like a good app, but, it froze after I opened it and now won't load. Not sure I want to pay for something that might now ever work. Very disappointed as I was looking forward to learning German.
