Solid to start with
This app is pretty solid to start off learning with, but kinda short lived with mostly just vocabulary. I wish there were a more extensive library of phrases, especially those that you’d use on a daily basis, and not just in specific instances (ie Greeting, Shopping, Travel). Otherwise super solid for isolated words. Love the authenticity with the native speakers.

Good basic categories but the games are too easy with the “hard games” still prompting far too often on the few words that sound like English words. By contrast, the sections that share phrases go way too quickly to really learn the phrase (slower please!). Immediately bummed there’s no section to learn the alphabet or basic pronouns, definite articles... basic building blocks of a sentence, though you can piece some things together from looking at enough of the basic phrases they teach. Still glad I got this app though!

Too Little for the Money
I was a little disapointed I thought it would possibly have a little more for the money. Some of us would like to learn the language because we enjoy learning new things. This program seemed to be just for tourists, those who wish to travel. There is so little for those of us who would like to truely learn the language but can not afford to go to Scotland to the college.

Scottish language app review
This is a fantastic Scottish language app. The words are clearly spoken, correspond to related photos to help quick recognition. I am going to Scotland in 2018, and I will use this on my trip. Thank you for your efforts. It was well worth the $10 US.

I dont like it!
This app does not give you the same words as my learn Gaelic dictionary book that I have. I am very disappointed. Its like it is in a totally different language than Gaelic!

I think it is a fun little application to play with; the format would make it suitable for a child as well as an adult. It has a fair selection of categorized words and common phrases and for that reason it is useful as a vocabulary builder. Also, given each word or phrase is presented with both text and audio (spoken by both a male and female voice) I think it is helpful as a pronunciation guide.
It would be nice to see more phrases added in the future, it lacks the typical phrases such as "Ciamar a tha thu?" or "Co mheud?". Might be nice if it addresses time and the days of the week too; those would be useful to a learner I think.

Awesome app.! Write more levels!
This is a fantastic application on a fantastic system. There's so much slack time, and, having this app on your phone affords you chances here and there to learn a language. More levels of learning that could provide more parts of the language would be even better!!! My grand kids love this as much as I do and fight to take turns! I would love to be able to teach them more Gaelic and uTalk could be a HUGE help with different levels oriented in similar fashion...

Fantastic language app
This app is beyond my expectations. I’ve tried language apps before, but this is by far the best I’ve found. Especially for a difficult language such as gaelic - I’m impressed with the ease of listening to both male and female voices pronouncing the words and phrases, and the play back of my own attempts is a cool feature. It’s a clearly well thought out design. I would highly recommend it for anyone just starting out learning Gaelic!

After just a few minutes seems lots like Rosetta stone (I tested a demo cd on me when it wasn't too far outdated and xp was still what my whole family had) I have scottish heratage so that could be why it was rather easy for me to connect some things tho language appears to have cognates too
I'd def reccomend this app it is a little costly but I guess Irish dialect is more common
