Learning ABCs has never been simpler! In this fun educational puzzle game, toddlers and preschoolers learn to recognize letter names, build familiarity with shapes of uppercase and lowercase letters, associate each letter with a variety of objects whose name begins with that letter, and spell basic words. By acquiring familiarity with letter names and shapes in this way, children develop a solid foundation for success on their early reading journey.

Recommended age range: 2-4 years.

Let your children explore the shapes and names of letters with this new fun app developed by an award-winning educational publisher, 22learn, the creator of the best-selling Abby Basic Skills app.

VARIETY OF FUN LEARNING INTERACTIONS
* 5 simple games for each letter (letter puzzle mode) and one game for spelling (word puzzle mode) provide a variety of learning interactions that children enjoy.
* For example, children love to pop balloons with a letter they are learning – as they progress in the game, the weather changes in the background and reveals a beautiful rainbow once children master the letter!
* In the letter puzzle mode, children 1) drag uppercase and lowercase letters to their matching shades, 2) associate the letters with pictures of words whose name begins with those letters, 3) tap on fun letter balloons to hear letter names as they pop the balloons, and 4) compose shapes of each individual letter.
* In the word puzzle mode, children match letters with their shapes to spell a word.

BUILD FOR INDEPENDENT EXPLORATION
* ABC Puzzles is designed from the ground up to enable young children’s independent play and foster their sense of competence as they independently navigate the game environment to select which letters or words they wish to practice.
* All the items to be moved are large enough to be easily grasped by children’s fingers.
* No complicated menus have to be accessed by a child in order to play the game on his or her own.

POSITIVE, ENCOURAGING ENVIRONMENT
* Only positive reinforcement is provided to engage children.
* Full of colorful illustrations that children love.

ABC Puzzles feature a beautiful, bright, colorful design and simple interface that children love. We hope your children enjoy this gentle introduction to the world of letters the same way that our little beta-testers did!

Rockgirl303,
Excellent learning tool for pre-k trying to get their word together
Currently I’m teaching my 3 year old the basics, especially since he hasn’t been in dare care for a moth now. Recently since the pandemic has basically turn our world upside down inside out. The app is fun and unique, easy for kids to navigate. Teaches word association by using pics, also really helps the learn the difference between upper an lower case letters. I personal would recommend sitting down with them to make sure the understand. Therefore you can spots the my need a little improvement. As they get more comfortable with it. You can slowly start to let them do it on their on...you can set you limits to what suits your child. However, my nephew get 30 min. intervals twice a day. Because we also do hands on learn, such coloring, spieling of his full name, story time. Lol and nap. I never forget he’s still a kid so he gets plenty of play and watches disney junior. I have more apps that very exceptional as well.

Great app for my daughter!
I got this app for my 3-year-old daughter to play with. My preschool closed and so I went on a search for some educational apps to buy so that she can play and learn while I’m working from home. She seems to play with this app more than the others. I think these puzzles and games are a fun way for her to get to know all the letters and a bunch of new words. She now seems to love grabbing her magnetic letters and creating the same words she learned from this app on our refrigerator. With pretty great accuracy! Definitely helps me multitask raising her and trying to still be productive while working from home. Worth it for me and I already have plans for another app when she inevitably gets bored with this one (which she always does, I suspect she might have ADHD, but that is another story).

We’re Speechless
My daughter is two years and a half old and talks here and there, but has struggled with speech. We downloaded this app as a way to entertain her and hoping she would learn eventually, come to find out that she has learned the entire alphabet when showing her the flash cards. We are absolutely stunned that she has learned to recognize and say the letters of the alphabet and some new words, considering that she only started talking recently. Absolutely recommend this app! Total game changer!

Beware, set up for kids to easily purchase within the app
It looks like a good app. The Main down fall here for our family is that right away we noticed how easy it is to purchase within the app. Even if you have it locked to your finger print. The app asked you a simple addition question to “verify you are an adult” once you enter the correct answer it waits a while (you handed to your kid thinking it’s ready to use) and unlocks a next step and gives you a button to press to make a purchase. Even the adult can accidentally press on the button the purchase by mistake. I might have not explained this correctly because I have two toddlers I have to get back to but parents to my warning serious please. I hope the provider takes this as a friendly but serious notice that they have to change something about the purchase options.
Vannie's Mom,
Why are we so petty.
I just wanted to say I am going to purchase this app to satisfy my child with a little thing that she likes and has a fun time learning with. I don’t appreciate the two or so letters that you have open for the children to play with before they grow frustrated with being blocked by messages they don’t understand. The way I feel bullied into still getting this because you have to pay to get to the next letter. I’m just saying that you should let the kids get a chance to get to more of the stuff that you have to offer for fun and learning before the parents have to get the $$. The two stars are in my opinion the best way to explain. I just had to get that off my chest, otherwise I’m happy with the app because my two year old enjoys playing with this one a lot.
MadPins,
UPDATE PLEASE
I do appreciate this app, it’s design, fun colors & age appropriate art. It is very engaging & my toddler really enjoys learning/playing it very much. One thing I would really like for the next upgrade/update to include is concerning the word building games. Currently the app allows for ANY LETTER in a word to be placed in ANY ORDER. With the purpose being learning words/spelling/reading I would greatly appreciate if the letters were only allowed to be placed in the order in which the word is spelled. For instance… W A G O N for wagon, rather than G N O W A, etc. it doesn’t teach the proper spelling of the word if you can enter it scrambled.

Simple
This App was one of the first I downloaded on my sons iPad , my first thoughts were wow this Is pretty cool. It wasn’t until I looked at other apps that were similar that I realized how great this app was. I found that eventually with the other apps my son would need my help, or I was confused myself on exactly how to interact with the app. Since downloading the app my son has been able to independently learn at his own pace. I find he plays with this game more often then others and I thinks that speaks for itself. Great job with the app
Roshan Barrey,
Doesn’t work with Family sharing or Ask to buy Features
Me and Apple advisor worked together for over an hour via screen sharing but this app didn’t work with both Family sharing and Ask to buy features.

1. I tried to buy unlock everything on my iPhone and share it with my kid on their iPad but the app wanted me to buy it again on iPad and could not read my purchase on parent account. This app says it supports family sharing.

2. We requested a refund for this on my account and tried to purchase this directly on the kid’s iPad. I have ‘Ask to buy’ feature enabled, so when I try to do an in-app purchase on iPad, it goes to a parent for approval and charges the parent account.. instead of waiting app just cancels the purchase and asks to update a payment method which isn’t right. So it is a endless loop where you cannot make an in-app purchase.

It’s a shame that an app with 127k reviews cannot work with the latest family sharing features of iOS. Was suggested to find an other app after an hour of troubleshooting session with an Apple advisor

Pay for the upgrade
My 4 year old son LOVES this app. It’s clear that the developers have put a lot of time and thought into its functionality. We’ve tested many learning apps and believe this is one of the best. Reviews here with low ratings are largely complaints of people not wanting to pay for upgraded features; not actual reviews of the product itself. If you cap the value of your child’s education for an app that they love at $8.99, then you’ve got major issues.

First time user
My 4 yr old granddaughter did learn the letter A. The examples were like writing the letter when I was in school lol. She got worn out popping the balloons while searching for the letter A. Maybe shorten it a hair and put the A’s a little closer together. Just on a phone. No ads popped up but it did force me to write a review immediately after so my 5 stars maybe temporary if it becomes ad crazy (we all know toddlers LOVE to push buttons, lol) make sure you have your parental controls set. So far it’s excellent!
