Learning Power, Georgia Power's signature education program, electrifies classrooms with engaging lessons on energy and energy efficiency. Learning Power challenges students to think about energy and their environment in new ways while increasing awareness of careers in the energy industry. Since kicking off in 2011, Learning Power has reached over 750,000 students across the state of Georgia. Aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence in science and math, interactive labs and creative class activities amp up STEM learning and career exploration.
Education Coordinators deliver hands-on, STEM-based energy and energy efficiency lessons at all grade levels, Pre-K through high school. The Learning Power program strives to contribute to student’s academic achievement, educate students on energy efficiency in school and at home, and build awareness around careers in the energy industry. This partnership with Georgia educators delivers engaging personal connections with science and math. The programs, lesson plans, and activities are provided at no cost to teachers or schools.
