Way better than Archero
Way better than Archero. You do not have to pay money to get far in this game. If you are above average skill at archero, you will be one of the top players of this game. I am currently the #1 player in this game and I do not spend any money. I just started playing maybe 1 week ago. One of my favorite things about this game is the ability to “extract” any weapon or equipment. Which means that I can receive all the gold back I spent on a level 50 sword and give it to another weapon without spending any extra gold. So, you can switch your equipment at ease without having to grind for gold again for your new weapon. By the way, I stop playing Archero on chapter 15, so that gives you a reference of my skill level.

Absolutely the best Archero style game I have played so far, and I’ve played practically all of them. Love the graphics, the battle mechanics are my favorite with the dual fighting style being able to switch between melee and magic just by moving the distance between you and the enemy. Love the stages so far and an actual variety of enemies in each different area instead of just rehashing the same bad guys over and over. And love that each stage is themed and unique over the other. Great job guys I can’t wait to see what future updates hold in store and am lookin gun forward to any other releases you guys develope.

Wrote this to address melee claims
You have 100% control over if you get hit by a melee attack.
UNLIKE Archero you do not take damage for simply touching an enemy. You have to actually get HIT by an ATTACK to take damage.
Thus... you can dodge their hits and hit back after the dodge.
Also: you hit all enemies in range of your melee attack when you swing.
Also also: you’ll only move towards enemies during a melee chain if you don’t move between attacks. So learn to attack move attack move... and you’ll pick up melee real quick. It’s high risk, high reward (does significantly more damage).
Although I will agree with complaints that all the upgrades are mirrored from Archero. Would’ve like to see more variety given a melee mechanic in the game. You can bring your ranger attack to outmatch melee or power up melee to basically one shot anything that gets close.
Boss fights are great. If you have experience with and like Archero you’ll FLY through the first 3 areas. Happy gaming all!

Pretty Nice
It’s a good game to kill some time. Controls are simple enough, gameplay is fine, but I personally feel like magic is significantly easier to defeat minions with than melee. Some bosses are basically magic-only too because their attacks just chew through your health if you try to fight them point blank, aka melee reach.

Melee is a problem
The game is meh. A better graphics archero that plays a bit slower but adds HORRIBLE melee as the ONLY difference to archero. It has same upgrades, skills, leveling system, etc. which is pretty embarrassing for the developer. Their are so many creative things you could have done to make this better and you blew it.
Melee is flat out bad. It moves you towards the enemy so you’re constantly running into projectiles as you use melee. Many enemies must be killed in melee, so it can’t be avoided. And you have 0 control over whether the enemy or you take melee damage yourself. Its really bad and I can’t stress this enough.
And seriously, not any new skills? Add something! Add a poison trail skill so I release poison clouds as I run away, add a charge function so I can hold down my shot for a special beam that goes through walls, add a stunning shot to stop enemies for .25 seconds on hit, add SOMETHING to differentiate your “own game”. I’m fine with copy cats of good games, but you somehow made everything worse.
Honestly, melee is so badly implemented that I went back to archero and put $20 into it. Don’t think I’ll be picking this up again.

Fun but some bugs.
This is my favorite Archero type of game, however there may be a bug where some enemies are invisible. Such as an early enemy that spits a green projectile that is invisible. The enemies and skills are interesting and it is not pay to win. In similar games, it can cost between $5-$15 to get new heroes, and in this game, I already have all the heroes simply by playing for a few days. There are multiple options for equipment and it is very easy to get new ones, especially through the Raid option. The fact you can do melee and ranged at the same time is great.
The new version is crap,
Dark area 3 is impossible to beat.
The game overall is really fun and I would’ve rated 5 stars but there’s one big problem. There’s no way to beat Dark area 3 and I don’t mean it’s too hard because I’ve beaten the final boss 4 times and every time has the same outcome. He dies and his loot drops but you can’t pick it up or leave the room making the only way to exit the room is either by exiting the level and losing all your stuff or closing out the app and then purposely dying next time you fight him. Either way it’s impossible to win so like I said it’s fun but this problem kinda ruins it.

Gets old quick
This game was fun at first, but it's not really designed well for long-term playability. My character is not strong enough to make it past the current stage, which appears to mean I need to play the same stage over and over again to slowly grow the character, while getting one low-tier quality of gear every 24 hours (unless you pay). Playing the same levels and bosses over and over gets boring quickly.
Edit: I just checked it Archero after seeing other reviews, and yes this is most certainly an Archero clone, but with more ads.

Loved and now disappointed😞
I was getting really into this game as a change from Archero when I’m done farming for the day and enjoy the different style with melee involvement and everything but now I got to area 4 and it won’t let me play it, it goes to the loading process, freezes and then sends me back to my phones home page to restart my game. Needs to be fixed plz for 5s so I can get better gear and get good👌🤣

Great game but terrible Ad payouts.
The game itself is amazing but I’ve sat through countless ads for the rewards and received 0. It takes away very little from the game not being able to use the ad rewards but it is frustrating not to be able receive the benefits after sitting through those annoying ads.
