This Bible and its lessons took 20 some years to assemble, by one of the best pastors/educators out there. Dr. Getz has 70 years in the ministry, writing numerous books, serving as senior pastors, educating and now creator of this incredible resource that will teach more than you ever thought you knew about our God and His word, and how it applies to you in a practical, easy-to-understand way. He doesn’t water down the content into meaningless drivel. It’s God’s word and sometimes it’s hard to hear. But if you want to know our Father and how he wants to love us, not coddle us with false promises like some churches do, get this. Follow Gene’s lessons. He’s interesting and amiable and so knowledgeable. We were blessed to attend his church in the 90’s—a life changing experience that continues with the study in this Bible. You won’t be sorry.

I have had this Bible for several years and have enjoyed using it as a study Bible with the added benefit of video teaching. I have recently started intentionally walking with several men through a discipleship process and have found the ability to look up and send video teachings to the men the Lord has led me in to this time with. What an amazing way to encourage those we love!!!

I guess I was an early user of this app. Several years ago happened to hear Dr. Gene Getz speak. When he was introduced, this app was mentioned.

I downloaded it that day and was immediately surprised. I never expected it to included a comprehensive video commentary of the entire Bible! Ok, not every verse, but Dr Gene doesn’t miss very many versions!

It was great but I didn’t expect it to last. Bible apps come and go on a regular basis. Every time Apple brought out an updated IOS, I expected this app to disappear.

Instead, it has continues to be improved and updated. New, higher quality video’s replace older versions.

My hat’s off to Dr Getz and the entire team! Their dedication to provide quality commentary, packaged in an accessible app is an outstanding achievement!

I have always struggled in trying to understand the Bible. My daughter and son-in-law gave me this study Bible and I was thrilled that I could read a section and have brother Gene explain it to me. I love how he ties in the New Testament with the Old Testament. I feel empowered knowing that I can read the Bible in its entirety and have a ‘friend’ helping me along the way. I’m so grateful that God laid it on his heart to do such a monumental work for the body of Christ and also others who might struggle with their faith.

Words cannot describe how fortunate I feel to have come across this app. I use it everyday alongside my readings of the scripture. Gene is a wonderful teacher and I thank God for leading me to him. Thank you, Gene. Your legacy will live on for generations to come through the time you’ve invested into this. The way everything here is organized is just perfect. I’m a “closet salesman” for this App and the Life Essentials Bible by Gene Getz. But all I have to do is show it to someone, and it sells itself. It couldn’t be easier or more convenient. And for a daily, weekly, or whatever your study schedule is, this is pure gold.
I’m new to the app, so I haven’t tapped into all of its potential. It can only get better from here.

I have listened to Dr. Getz teaching on KDOV radio for years. I longed for this Bible. I gifted a copy to a friend who was searching. My husband gave me a beautiful copy for my birthday in September. It has become my daily reading and devotion Bible. What a blessing to own and hold and read this resource! I've been using this tool almost daily since December 2017. I read the accompanying scripture then watch and take notes on Dr. Getz's video. They are just the right length for a short study. I also appreciate how he ties the Old and New Testaments together. I highly recommend it.
