Wunderbar for many aspects of language learning
I have been using LyricsTraining for a few months now. I’m a native English speaker now living in Germany. BTW living in the country of your Target Language is NOT CLOSE to the Solution for language learning. My transition to fluent German has, however, been greatly enhanced with this app, even though (as a 79-year-old opera lover, I was not (at first) interested in or aware of most of the German songs on this app. Now I’m humming them all day long, and I’m speaking German with my neighbors!
Secondly. I am a certified teacher of English as a Foreign Language. I have experienced success now in using song to teach English. Most learners are very interested in song. Learning works much better when the student is interested. This app is a natural to enhance language acquisition in any language the app supports.

Seriously good practice for listening and spelling!
I have been using this app to practice and improve my Spanish and me ha ayudado mucho!!! I love it!
A while back I sent them a suggestion to make it better on the app by doing the type in the blank to practice spelling and more challenging and they totally took me up on it and are trying it out! Now I love it even more!
I am sure they will continue to improve it!

not for languages with their own alphabet
I don’t really write reviews but I had TOO for this app — I love the concept of listening to the lyrics and all that BUT this is terrible for languages with their own alphabet such as Korean. It isn’t good for people to read the romanized version of Korean since Korean is better expressed through its alphabet and this goes out for Japanese too! If people use this app to learn languages with the romanized version- it's gonna slow their progress down a bunch!!! I'd just say to write the lyrics on a sheet of paper bc it's good for helping our handwriting get better for hangul (한글), kanji, hiragana, katakana and more!!!

Ok so I tried out an app called lirica but it didn’t have a search bar meaning u couldn’t search up songs u wanted to Lear then I saw this app and I was amazed how good it has helped my Spanish vocabulary and I am obsessed with it! I definitely recommend this app for anyone who wants to learn French, English, Spanish, Japanese, Portugués, Italian, Dutch, Korean, Turkish, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, or Catalan. And no this is not a bot! I actually mean it is a a great app!

Decent only for Latin based languages
Tested the app out with French first and found it to be quite enjoyable with a sleek, easy-to-use format, but was completely let down when I switched to Japanese and discovered that the lyrics were solely available in romaji, which is utterly useless to serious learners of the language. Korean suffers from the same problem, using romanization rather than the Korean alphabet.
I love the concept of language learning through lyrics, but this app still has a lot of room for improvement.

Great app, but could use some improvement
I really like this app, and I think it’s helped me a lot with understanding German. There’s two things that could make it even better though.
1. I’d really like if the app allowed you to play songs that are pending review, like you can from the website. The app feels very limited with only the reviewed songs available; a lot of my favorite songs haven’t been reviewed yet.
2. It’s also be cool if the app included the typing mode. I think the typing mode is more engaging and challenging for when you’re able to keep up better.
Again, this app is awesome, but I really think these two changes would be a big improvement and could help a lot of people in their language learning. Thank you, LyricsTraining!

Wow this is just fun
Yah so where to begin… most fun and heart pounding app I have found to learn Spanish. Not saying its the best but for the price point its worth it. I would say its the best for training your ears though because it gets you to hyper focus more than watching movies with Spanish subtitles which can be distracting.

Great app. Wish I could listen to more that 3 songs a day
The app is great and the premium year is not too expensive but the free version only lets me listen to 3 songs daily. I would like to at least be able to listen to the songs after my three plays are used. I hope they add more music also. Definitely worth checking out.

I would give zero stars if I could
Very inaccessible. As a visually impaired person, I have the right to have this app be accessible to me. Accessibility is a right, not a privlage. This app does not work well with VoiceOver, a screen reading program for iOs devices. I downloaded this app because I was encouraged by my Spanish teacher to use it. I created an account and tried to start playing a game. Nothing worked. I couldn't play a game in either game mode. I would give this app zero stars if I could. If the accessibility issues are fixed, I will update my review. Please fix!

Fun way to learn
I’ve been a user for going on two years. I’ve recommended this app to many friends. I’d like to see an option to add other users and perhaps a way to chat. Also a way to outright buy the app without monthly fees.
