Developing quality listening skills at an early age is a great advantage for speech sound, language and reading development.
Listen Hear 2 targets focused listening and attention, vital for speaking, reading and learning.
Listen Hear 2 is an extension of Listen Hear 1 based on valuable feedback and experience gained. They go hand in hand. Both are useful resources to assist with listening skills, reading, spelling and language.
Listen Hear 2 was designed by a Speech-Language Pathologist.
In Steps and Word Families Listen Hear 2 relates sounds to the visual symbol (alphabet) which is important for reading development.
The exercises are completed quickly for positive reinforcement.
They can be repeated any number of times.
The main menu consists of:
Steps - (s and l blends)
Word Families - a variety of word endings
Tap Dance - tapping on words that begin with each letter of the alphabet
What am I?- tapping on and identifying the correct item (I give light- lamp)
Pairs - matching sound effects, sounds of the alphabet, words and music
Where are they? - tapping on the correct place (dentist, zoo etc)
Rhyme - tapping on pairs of cards that rhyme (tap-cap, boat-goat)
There is an optional timer as a feature for increased motivation and challenges.
Each wrong tap attracts a five second penalty.
Listen Hear 2 is a useful and valuable resource for:
