The description of this app should tell you that the english text sounds like it is translated from chinese and therefore is often grammatically incorrect. This can be a problem for an app that is targeting a young reading audience. Also, the read to me voices are just one person using different intonations as if they only had one person in the production suite that was capable of speaking english. I'm sure the chinese version of this is excellent. I also love the one page towards the end when the sea witch yells 'Little mermaid! I will KILL YOU!!' Overall very inappropriate for my 4 year old.

Inappropriate narration to say "I will kill you"
Good book, well done but it is TOTALLY Inappropriate narration to say "I will kill you", even if the boy is talking to the witch. My 4 year old heard this and is now repeating it. This is a children's book.

Almost good
Although the illustrations are beautiful, the language used by the storyteller is not correct and, at times, inappropriate for children. The story was obviously translated from another language to English and uses some incorrect or awkward words and phrases. I found this to be true of all the stories I downloaded from this company. Very disappointing. I've had to delete them.

My kids love this app, but the narrator reads poorly. She has great diction, but she doesn't pronounce words correctly. Plus, the story is written as if a 3rd grader put the story together. Improve that and I'll give you 5 stars. But for now I cringe every time I hear it reading to my children.

Ads on a paid app with update
Terrible product. When updated to fix repeated crashing now multiple ads ruin the experience. Don't waste your money on this companies apps, they are not inexpensive and certainly the addition of ads is unprofessional.

Nice visuals, but English grammar not so good
Very cute interactive story, but there are some misspellings and odd grammar. Some of the voices are native English speakers, and some are native Chinese speakers speaking English with an accent, and the mix is a little odd.

Lots of ads and poor design
This app is full of ads -although paid- the ads are very large and damages the whole experience. The app itself is poor, with very clumsy animation, awkward fonts and very bad audio.

This book's editors should be fired. There are too many grammatical errors for me to count. In addition, the narrator has many points where the cadence is off in her reading.
