I'm excited for this app. Our boy will be here in December, and I wanted to purchase the PC version. I much rather have a full version for the iPad (I hardly use the pc anymore), so this is a great start. I have played with the app a little, and I am very impressed. The only thing i would like to see is a setting to turn off the arrow for reading. The arrow doesn't keep up with the word being pronounced, so I feel that could cause confusion. I'd like to be able to turn off the volume and arrow, so I can say the word and use my finger with out distraction. It would be great to be able to add our own photos similar to the pc version, but I'm sure that will come in time. Other than that, I'm impressed and look forward to many new and inexpensive updates and add-ons. I also look forward to the math and music versions on the iPad too!

I've got two amazing & talented kids, largely in thanks to Brillkids!
I love that this awesome program is now available as an app. We use all of the BrillKids software programs for reading, math, and music. Early learning is the BEST thing I have ever done for my kids, and now they're reading books, doing math, and even reading and playing music at 2.5 and 3.5 years old! Can't wait for more apps to come out. Don't miss their Little Reader deluxe kits for the full storybook series--they're ideal first books for emerging readers and the words fully correspond to the software. Oh, and if you own the full software, you can get the entire 1 yr curriculum right on your iPad/iPhone. It's the best early learning system on the market, hands down!

Been waiting for this!!
We use BrillKids English, Chinese and math on our PC and are so excited to see BrillKids brought their high standard of quality to the iPad. This is a great early learning tool that has helped our 15 month old son in speaking and recognizing words. The voice, picture, content and sound quality is by far the best. Our son can not get enough of this app. I have actually gone through our apps and deleted many that do not hold his attention now that he has seen BrillKids on his iPad.

Finicky app causes frustration.
The swipe is less sensitive than the device standard. My son gets frustrated because it doesn't advance when he expects. He knows how iPhones are supposed to work.
BrillKids is buying reviews with a 20% chance at winning their expensive software. The app is focused on getting you to spend money at BrillKids (in app purchases, full version of software, joining forums with more to-buy options). You can turn off the home screen in settings to avoid seeing it all the time.
Downloading content takes more than 5 minutes for some packages with only 12 words. My old iPhone has to be in the app and active or the downloads cancel. It took the better part of the morning to download the current free content - 22 items.
My kid loves the content. However, if it weren't for the promotion, I'd be paying for any but the most basic word sets. It wouldn't have been worth it.

My kid loves the content. However, if it weren't for the promotion, I'd be paying for any but the most basic word sets. It wouldn't have been worth it.
I love early reading, & I know it works. However, BrillKids has slowly become nothing more than a money making machine. No matter how great the product, the greed is a turn-off.

30 mths old loves it!
My 30 month old son keeps on asking me to allow him to "play" with the new Little Reader Touch app for the iPad. We both love it because he can easily go from screen shot to screen shot and he is learning not only how to read but he is also gaining lots of self confidence in knowing that he can do it all by himself (with mommy being in the background of course). I can't wait to see what lessons we are going to download next.

truly groundbreaking
This is the best read. Application out there! We use it with three f our children - ages 4, 2, and 6 months, and it can be easily adopted to each of their learning level. The oldest one loves the word games, which serve as an excellent review tool, the 2 years old one learning new words every day and started deciding words that he has never seen before (pattern phonics is awesome) and our 6 month old one just started Little Reader in English and Chinese. Absolutely recommend it!

Better than flash cards
This app is great! It's like flash cards, but better because of the videos. My 2 year old always try's to reenact the movements of the kids. I love that they use real kids and objects and not just cartoon versions (although sometimes it is cartoons).
Of course, I'd love to see more modules, specifically math sections or maybe a whole app for just Math stuff.

Great introduction
I was thrilled to see this app and so many lessons available for free! It's a great introduction to reading for baby and parents. I would love to see options for a manual or auto slide show, and speed settings for it. Using this app on an iPhone is challenging when holding a 4-month old. That being said, this app makes our decision to buy an iPad in the near future that much easier.

Highly recommend
My 14 month old son loves this and will pay attention for 3 to 4 of the sets. The new feature to advance just from a tap anywhere on the screen means that my son can use this independently now too, which is great. I love the idea of organizing the lessons into courses. Now, we are just waiting for Little Mathematician Touch!
