Hi Everyone! ☺︎,
Great Concept
I really love the concept behind the app, and I think it is amazing that you can pay to undo your CO2 emissions. Also, I like how you can see how many pounds of CO2 each activity emitted. However, I have a few suggestions to make the app even better. First, there need to be a lot more foods to log because very simple things, such as carrots, are missing. Second, I hope to soon see more activities added, such as turning off the lights, charging a phone, and other small, simple tasks. Finally, I wish that the app would give suggestions about how to improve your carbon emissions instead of just telling you to do better. Additionally, I am a teenager, so I don’t have control over my bills, so I wish there was an option for not knowing how much your bills are, but I understand why the calculations would be off if that were to exist. Overall, this is a great app and I would definitely recommend it, and I hope to see even more cool features added as I continue using it!

Some room for growth
Great app, great concept, big advocate… just needs a compromise for battery life! Tracking background kills my phone battery, if its not plugged in overnight I’ll go to bed with 100 and wake up with 25. Im not going anywhere when I’m sleeping, so it’d be appreciated if the developers could find a way around that. Also agree with what a few other reviews are saying— needs more actionable items! Activism, washing clothes on cold, composting… ect!

The best (and only) CO2 mindfulness app
Just got on board with the app today (it actually released today as well), and I’m thoroughly impressed with how well put together the app is. The calculations it makes are sound, the in app purchases are completely optional (and the payment model is AWESOME!), and above all else it’s just easy to use. Logging meals and having it automatically track my trips in the car is... incredible to say the least. The app takes just about everything it should into consideration: the items you own, the items you buy, the amount you spend on electricity/water, your car’s MPG, the average amount you travel in a year, and the food you eat.

It gave me a realistic option of goals to choose from, and I feel like if I actually took the time to be on the app, I’d without a doubt meet it. The inclusion of leaderboards is fun and makes it a good way to challenge your friends into being less of a scum bag than you.

Only things I can mention as negatives is that currently there’s a few issues causing the app to lock up and force close on me (inconsistently unless I abuse the heck out of it), but it just came out today so... I have the utmost faith that the team that put this together will get it fixed.

Give livegreen a try, you might surprise yourself.
Happy ☀️,
Great idea, but superficial engagement
At first glance LiveGreen is amazing! It is nicely designed with an easy user experience. The initial footprint assessment is very simple and interactive. You get excited by the idea of planting trees with certified projects by collecting points. Finally, there is a community feature where you are required to post a picture to prove you completed actions. If you walk/hike a lot, I highly recommend this app so you can plant trees for free.

So where does LiveGreen go wrong?

1. No learning: with only three actions a day that repeat often, there’s not a lot of learning or drive to make impactful sustainable decisions. Often times the actions are things people are already taking rendering the app (no offense) useless.

2. Accountability: I see many people take pictures unrelated to the suggested actions just to get points to plant trees. Sure you can report it, but there’s a looot of people to report.

3. Inaccurate tracking: I started with a footprint of 5.5 tons of CO2, somehow that has reduced to 4 tons without me really doing anything. There is no explanation as to what I did to reduce this. In reality, my footprint is more like 9 tons.

These three combined make a dangerous mix for people looking for authentic sustainability engagement. Not a deal breaker for everyone, but can definitely use some improvement.
Sproutchinn,
Can definitely be improved
I like this app in theory and in practice is works pretty well. The algorithm does not do well with following the habits you say don’t work with your lifestyle for example: if you X out of a challenge for the day and say it doesn’t work for you a message will pop up saying “okay we won’t show this to you again” but I often get the same mission the next day. It would be nice to be able to connect with other fitness apps rather than just Apple health because that is not an accurate count of my miles traveled every day. Also many of the links don’t work in settings like “request features” “give feedback” “edit settings” but “invite a friend” works just fine. However I like being able to save up points to plant a tree and having 3 missions a day.

Perfect for those trying to live a more sustainable life
This is an awesome app. Lots of features to create accurate readings of your carbon footprint throughout your day and life. My only complaint is not being able to get rid of the utilities section. As a minor I can’t really account for my own utilities bc it’s difficult to calculate strictly mine. I have no power over my parents to change their resource usage so ヽ(´ー`)┌
Therefore, please create a way for us to be able to track our own utilities or a way to just get rid of the utilities section. BUT STILL def an amazing app :-)
JustSquabbie,
Amazing! Tracking at its best!
With this app I can easily track and log my co2 emissions! And, no payments are required, unless you wish to plant trees for another part. Other than that, the core features are free! If you’re trying to find out how to easily track your emissions and see how you can make an impact, install this app now! You can even set great goals for the future to keep your emissions below! I love this app, and I will continue to use it forever on.
Shelby2Cool,
Useful and helpful!
I’ve used this app for at least a month and it has been helpful for tracking my carbon emissions. Hopefully they will roll out more food options for me to get an accurate score. My biggest issue right now is that I have been having trouble logging in. The app freezes when the logo appears.

Great App Especially For Those New/Beginners
Would really recommend this app! Really does a good job of teaching you about your personal carbon emissions and how you can help curb your own habits toward becoming more green. Anyone can pick this app up and use it as well which is what also makes it so great in my opinion. Even your great grandfather can use this app without any assistance.
bodovoet,
No cycling?! No eMPG?!
Kudos on the concept, and really well done UI. Yet, I cycle to work, and otherwise drive an electric car with 140 eMPG. This app does not capture either!
Also, no solar or other alternative sources of energy, or a better breakdown of foods, like distinction between local and imported.
Further, the "buy a tree" carbon offset scheme, while laudable, is not the only or the best way to offset my footprint with 💰.
I understand that this app is clearly not meant for me... But I really would like it to be.
