Needs a little more

I love the ease of making call from the app but it would be a lot better if I could recharge my account from the app as well. This will be very useful when you’re in the go. Otherwise it’s a great app.

Scammers

They clearly state you get a free five minute phone call to try them out. When we tried to make our five minute call it asked for a credit card to put $10 in the account first. We did that and they charged us anyway. When I contacted customer support they were very rude and said in the FinePrint it states that’s only for phone calls under $.10 a minute. They are so shady and rude. I would definitely go with another company. And on top of that the phone quality was terrible in the call kept dropping. Save your money and go with a different company that actually works and has morals and values.

Works sometimes

It’s good when it works, but unreliable. it drops calls, stops calls and plays back conversations from minutes ago, and very strange behaviors like that. I use it because, and only because, it assigns local phone numbers to my family living outside US. This allows me to call them from any phone.

Fraud! Don’t download, protect your money

I purchased a package and they withdrew the money from my bank and when I emailed to ask them to activate the package they said, the money didn’t reach them and they refused to activate it or refund the money despite showing them a transaction slip from my bank. Just avoid it, there are other apps that are more trust worthy.

It does not work anymore

It worked for about two years, since end of 2018, it does not work anymore , what’s the problem? T-Mobile charged me $40 for a call during Chinese New Year, because Localphone didn’t work which I didn’t know. Then after that the localphone app just only works occasionally. Shame.

Nearly Perfect

I have been using this local phone app for almost 4/5 years and have no complains.

The apps are a waste of time

Have been a user for over 10 years. When IOS 11 came out the app stopped working and the Interim solution was rubbish.
Customer service is none existant. Auto top up doesn’t work, PayPal doesn’t work.
All in all useless.
I guess WhatsApp, Skype, Viber and iMessenger has destroyed them.

Battery hog

The app is continuously draining the battery in the background. Installed when my battery was around 90% and overnight the app was active in the background continuously draining my battery to 30% when I checked in the morning. Stay away from this terrible app
