In additional to your health risk and longevity score, Longevity can now also provide scientifically based estimates of your biological age, rate of aging, and life expectancy.
The estimates are generated by an algorithmic platform for lifestyle and biomarker examination, developed by the Longevity Institute. The algorithm was built using scientifically established correlations between lifestyle factors and biomarkers on the one hand, and risk of disease, rate of aging, biological age and life expectancy on the other. The main data source for the algorithm comes from the Nurses' Health Study (1980-2014) and the Health Professionals Follow-up Study (1986-2014), a combined population of more than 120,000 people.
