this app is super useful if you’re lost and confused abt college, def helped me think more about what i want in a future school

I was trying to work with my counselor to make a college list, but I could never get a hold of them. it was a pretty negative experience overall trying to find the right college, so I felt defeated and felt like college may not be the right fit for me. but I came across this app on tiktok and its been so helpful. it found me so many good matches and I'm excited to apply to them. I wish it had application advice on the app. it has a lot of info on the school, but it would be helpful to know if there are specific things the school looks for in an applicant

When I originally downloaded Loper there was an issue with the app starting, but that got fixed quickly and I’ve been using it for a little bit now. I think it’s pretty good, but I’m confused on a couple things like whether the rating of ‘essential’ is better than ‘important’. I’d almsot rather have like a number scale to rate the college feature. I will keep using Loper and look forward to improvements!

“I downloaded this app and put in all my information, selected my preferences and made my profile and everything and it worked fine. After I finished all of that though, the start exploring button to actually look at colleges wouldn’t work. Once I pressed it it would just show the loading icon and then go back to saying start exploring without doing anything. I’m definitely disappointed.m

really great app, helping me organize what colleges I like and is really helping me explore what I want in a college or university

there are a couple issues though, first one is that there isn’t enough questions ): we need WAYY more.
the second one is the app (possible AI?) needs to actually listen to the responses the user gives. I put that financial aid and merits and essentials for me and I could attend college without it but they wouldn’t be very good colleges. The app still gave me extremely expensive options such as Ivy Leagues. The app should also show public colleges and community colleges as options as-well.
Another issue is that there should be an option for religious colleges. The app kept giving me Jewish colleges (I am not Jewish) and Christian colleges. I am not interested in attending religious specific colleges, especially when I am swiping on important and essential when it comes to diverse campus.
Overall this app is already pretty good, plus it’s fun! but I know this could be way better if the app actually personalized the college options better and the listened to the users answers to the prompts

Picking a college was really intimidating for me. I’d get flyers from a thousand colleges but none seemed like a good fit, and all the info online was just overwhelming. Loper has made it so easy and fun though. I literally swipe through prompts like I’m on tinder and they’ve matched me with so many great schools for my interests. I’m actually committed to one of the schools they suggested which is crazy to think about. If you don’t know where you’re going to college, I highly recommend this app. It’s such a sick idea and I’m really happy I came across it

I love that this app lets students swipe left and right on the criteria that most appeals to them - really great way to get Gen Z more involved. I’m a college counselor and I love using this with my students because once you match with a college you can’t immediately see it’s name, which allows students to remain more open minded as they build their list rather than being guided by prestige and name recognition only.

I’ve had this app for just a few days ago and I love the way it works. I like it a lot more than just scrolling through tons and tons of websites, this helps break things down a lot more. On the other hand, I wish they provided short facts (specific ones) on the “Matches” page aside from only “no language” and “pm transport”. Even on the description page for each college there aren’t that many fun facts about things that make that college unique. I know I could just visit the schools’ main websites, but I feel like since this app is trying to be a help, they should *really* try.

It’s a really amazing app, and it really helps you find the right place based off of what you like or would like to do in your future. It’s just that I apparently used all the prompts and it doesn’t give me any more school matches. So I’m waiting for an update until then there’s no use for it other than viewing the school options I already have.

I LOVE LOPER!! I was dreading the whole college selection process but this app made it so easy and fun. I found so many cool colleges on the platform and I can't wait to attend one of them. The app is pretty easy to use and is super well designed. I just wish that they had more specific info on some of the programs I was interested in

Admittedly I have a lot of criteria for the school I want and was doing a narrow search. Loper helped me find a lot of schools I never considered or knew much about that seem like great options. Really great way to expand your school search, made me feel much better about my process.
