Macmillan Learning eBook Hack 10.3.2 + Redeem Codes

Technology has come too far to accept the tin sound audio when listening to the text. The search works sometime for diagrams it could use some refinement. Why wouldn’t you allow a person to make notes in the margin, yes, I saw the note but when scanning all you is a dot noting there is a note for that content. I want to see the notes when searching quickly through the text. Finally, why abstain from giving a key to the question at the end of the chapter. The ability to change the page color and text size plus being able to download the text and have an app earned the fourth star back.

I’ve never wrote a review for an app yet but I just needed to share this for my fellow Macmillan users, from my experience on this site everyone including myself had troubles logging in. I’ve tried my tablet, iPhone, and iPad. It all seem not to work. I even tried contacting my school. It turns out that you need to verify your account sent to your email. It’s misleading that the Macmillan keeps saying that stating that the log in is incorrect and that they ask for a link.

So now I advise you all to go to your email for a link, it will say you need to make a new password and ask you to make a security question along with an answer to fully let you have access to your ebook.

Overall this whole journey was hectic and misleading. It would’ve never happened if they said we needed to verify our account instead of stating our logins are wrong and we needed a link.

The app overall is pretty good. It lets has highlight, bookmark, voice memo, search bar and even has book number pages. Unlike the Cengage that was a quick login with no problems, the only pro about it over the Cengage is that Macmillan has page numbers in which I have so much struggling dealing with over at Cengage.

I’ve been using this website for about 3 months, and I swear that I’ve had more issues with logging in then my college studies in total. I try logging in I have to activate 4 times before it works, especially on my computer I buy a book k wanna read it on my computer but I can’t because it force’s me to read it on my phone like are you serious. It’s such a joke I had an issue and I called the help hotline when I asked for help they sounded so clueless leaving me on a call for 2 hours for me to resolve absolutely nothing, not only is the company a joke but the workers, I ask for help and it seems that I know just was much on how their website works, and as for the app I can’t login with out it kicking me out for my phone turning off. SUCH A JOKE ON HOW THIS COMPANY IS STILL ALIVE

Have been using for about a month now on my iPad. The idea is awesome, download the ebook and read or have it audibly read to you while you drive or are tired of reading. I love the concept, but the app performs horribly. When you touch the screen to interact with the book, the page jumps back about 10 paragraphs or so and it never starts the audio where you want it to. It’s so annoying. You’ll waste about 5-10min with getting the page right when you just want to be proficient. Now I open the app today to study and the book has disappeared. This app is a joke. They need to hire better programmers. I paid for the book and can’t get my money’s worth. Sad

Looking for an app to make reading your e-book a bit easier on your mobile device or iPad/tablet? THIS IS NOT IT. There are way too many issues with this app. I can’t access the “my account” tab after logging in. I can’t even see my books to download them. The app doesn’t have customer service. The help tab is totally useless as it presumes the app is functioning fine. It’s not. I mean a simple scroll down the reviews will help them or you figure out whether this app is useful or just a waste of time. I’d love for them to fix these bugs.

As one reviewer mentioned, actually logging in and accessing your books is a pain. There is no logical reason why you can just log in with all of the user info you’ve already created. The helpful reviewer says there’s a way to “approve” it through an email link but Macmillan does not make this easy whatsoever. Why have an app that hardly works? I still don’t know how to get this email link for approval or where to find it. In its current state this app is completely useless which is a real shame since the services it promises to offer sound fantastic.

Honestly the worst app. I can’t even log into my account through this app because every time i resend a reset password to my email that is REGISTERED, i would get an email back stating there’s no such account with my email. The thing is it works perfectly fine on the browser, but won’t on the app. I reached out to customer service and they were the most useless help. They told me to just use the browser…i downloaded the app for a reason. Terrible app. Terrible management. Waste of time!

The set up for the books is by chapter not pages. It makes it difficult to study or take notes on it. Here is what I found using the app ( it is also the same for the website)...
1) you must scroll down in each chapter, not page number
2) you are unable to take notes in margins, like a normal text book
3) Formate is similar to how blogs were formatted in the mid 90s or early 2000s
4) Unable to bookmark the page you stopped reading on
5) bookmarks are only of the chapter front page
6) Unstructured formate of the end of the chapter, basically a long list of words with not indication where in the chapter (pg #) they are located

I strongly advice against using their e book. Not user friendly at all and horrible design overall of their interface!!!

I can’t even login. When i attempted to login, i was told to attempt to do so through the link provided to me by my teacher, but there is no option to sign in with a link on the app. When that option wasn’t available, I tried their “Contact Support” feature. It doesn’t work. All I was able to view was useless articles which provided no help whatsoever. All in all, the app is useless to me because, as I mentioned before, I cannot even login.

You can find the text books for half the price on literally any other website. The login doesn’t work no matter what device you are using or how many times you create a new account or reset the password. I am so lucky I didn’t open the passcode before trying to login so at least I can get refund. Buy your text books somewhere else, it will be cheaper and you won’t even need a passcode.
