My strategy was making good use of what I first got from the first mega chests. Combining your weapon, armor, and ring in the right way with your preferred hero plays a lot into your strategy (especially in the gold league stages). My favorite combinations focus on read load speed, increased projectile speed, and increased critical hit chance.
You might find yourself with low health compared to your opponents, but focusing on these attributes will allow you fire a lot more spells with a lot more speed and damage. While you level up in the game, you also might want to focus on leveling up your throwing distance, so your spell can reach farther. Super fun game!

I was going back and forth between 3 & 4 stars. The game is a super fun battle royale style. I love the concept of the gear, upgrades, picking your element to make spells mid-battle. I also love how the hits you throw are slowed down so you can dodge somebodies throw aimed at you, but so can others with your hits. Currency is easy to rack up to buy new heroes. I found it to be quite a blast.

What turned me away from continuing to play it was the ads. There is way too many popping up ads much too often. Even after just you watched multiple ads for rewards. The healing ad to let you go back to full health before the next stage starts is obviously essential for anyone who was hit during battle, so it’s annoying to get more ads before entering the next stage after you just seen one for health restoration.

My conclusion is if you don’t mind having to deal with numerous ads before and in between battles then there’s no reason you won’t fall in love with this game! To the Magica devs, it would be super beneficial to slow down the frequency of ads in between battles, even a tiny bit. Otherwise to whom is reading this, there is an option of removing ads for $0.99.

So, I downloaded this game on my phone and thought it was fun so I bought the ad removal pack. I proceeded to download the game onto my iPad and since both devices are connected to the same App Store account I thought I could restore the purchase on my iPad as well but it didn’t. I pressed the restore purchase button multiple times but nothing happened. I tried buying the ad remover again and it said “that I had already purchased it and if I would like to have it on my device for free” I clicked “yes” and the app said the classic “your all set” but it froze my game forcing me to reload the app. When I reopened the app I found that nothing has changed. Then I decided to delete it off my phone and iPad and re-download it (big mistake). When I opened the app it had reset all my progress and the ¢99 was lost. I can’t do anything, and the app won’t restore my purchases. Someone please help me.
Also for future guidance to the creators of this app allow us to have accounts using our email like supercell does so that our progress won’t reset and so we can restore our in app purchases please.

I’ve been playing this game everyday for almost 2 weeks. I payed to remove ads, got the legendary hero, all the stuff. Slowly I noticed there’s not much going on after you finish the arenas. Do the arena rewards reset after some time, it is a “seasonal” type thing? Don’t know because there’s nothing indicating there’s more to come. If I'm wrong there isn’t a timer letting you know how much time is left before new a new “season” starts.

I feel there’s not enough content after a certain point. There’s no incentive. After you finish all the reward arenas…that’s it, there’s nothing else to do besides unlock spells. Ok, I did that but now what? I have completed all arenas, completed the spell book, now there is literally nothing left to the game.

After you complete the arenas and all the spell book spells there’s nothing left. Maybe upgrading your Heros but you get SO LITTLE gold to upgrade hero’s there’s no point.
Basically you play the same area over and over again for nothing? Legendary hero’s cost 25k gold and you get 1k gold after each game.

If there were more content, more incentive, I would give 5 stars hands down because the game is fun and I love the concept of having gear, different hero’s, and spell choices but the game gets dull once you’ve completed everything. Please tell me this is a seasonal type of thing and there will be different arenas after like 20 days? If not, the game isn’t worth it.

This game has a lot going for it. I have really enjoyed it so far. Great simple skill trees and item/hero upgrade system. Keeps it competitive for anyone to learn and you can jump in an play a few mins easily throughout the day. First draw back is significant. There are ads for MTG that don’t go away. You finish watching it and there is no ‘x’ or anyway to exit unless you force close your game and forfeit all your rewards. Trust me, I tried everything. It used to be occasional but now it happens every few minutes and I have lost my will to continue the ad force feeding. Can you please reduce the ad length, quantity, or have a skip button option on some? I know it is a method to get people to pay but this game is more saturated than most yet it is so fun. Stop the broken ads at least and I would be happy to pay the fee to remove them altogether.

The premise and interface is simple and fun. It’s simplicity is a great strength and it’s very satisfying. I personally like the supernova skill, it’s a real monster of a spell and with enough reload/range/speed upgrades is REAL hard to counter.
But. You level up a slowly, and it gets real old getting one-shotted by foes with 4-5x your health points, or hit from an opponent off-screen. The random chance of getting enough cards to lvl up your favorite character also takes some fun out. I’d also like a better method of obtaining items. All these random chance aspects really slow down the pace of a game that seems geared toward short and fierce combat.
I wouldn’t mind a few more skills to combine but again, the simplicity of it is nice and lets you focus your skills better than most games that rely on chance to advance skill trees.

This game is a refreshing spin on the average io genre of games because the magic system is cool and quite enjoyable; however, as with all games, there are some flaws I’d like to address.

The main bug I have encountered approximately every 3 games is one where the Legendary Angel Hero has his short window of invulnerability work roughly 30% of the time. At first I thought I was misjudging the timing of the invulnerability window, but no, the invulnerability almost never works as intended. I am bringing attention to this bug so it can be replicated and taken care of accordingly.

I also think the game is addicting, but quickly the shallowness begins to surface after playing for about a week. I think gameplay elements should be added so that the game can stay relevant to people for longer. For example, “win 45 games this week, and get a new hero, or pay to skip the 45 games to get automatically” type of stuff. I don’t think this game is bad by any means, but I feel that if the shallowness isn’t addressed, the game will be dead within a year and have to be filled.

So I got this game yesterday. I played it for hours and had tons of fun. (Note that I removed ads for 0.99) the ad removal is cheap and the game is fun, but the balancing is wonky. The fire + water combo is not as OP as ppl say, as you can just spin. The final fire combo though is really OP, and could use a radius nerf. Now the Angel character is so broken. I think that it would be fair if it kept you alive and removed de-buffs, but the invincibility is a bit too much. Other than that I don’t see much wrong with the characters, except maybe that it’s quite pricy to upgrade late game. Overall very fun!

First off: ads everywhere. It was bad, then they updated it so that there are ads in between stages of matches, while before they were just after matches. That alone was more than enough for me to uninstall.

Also, sometimes it spawns you on a trap, which gives a crazy disadvantage from the get-go. Higher tiers have bots with crazy health and unfair aiming—you will get killed by enemies well off-screen fairly frequently. Their health and damage are huge compared to your own. The system to get better equipment is horrible, you’ll basically never get to see a gold item, and the next tier down is almost as rare.

Don’t waste your time.

the game is good and fun taking basic rpg aspects and some battle royale features but its the 3-5 ads every 5 minutes to heal or get more loot and even when you click no it will play an ad anyways and you get no reward. im tired of sellout companies not caring about their games or putting any love into them and only care about making the lowest quality games with the most ad revenue because theyre all a bunch of cash grabbers that dont care about the gaming community. you could have a very popular and fun game but theres more ads on this game than on literally any game ive downloaded on the appstore. will not play again until it gets better.
