I have both Mahjong3 games. This one is a lot easier - I think.
Maybe I just like this version better because I'm not being constantly bombarded with ads! This one IS easier but is also a lot more pleasurable.

Limited Games
The game play is great. The real shortcoming of this game is that for a given layout there is a very small number of games - 5or 6 I would guess. The tile distribution should be randomly generated and it obviously is not.
I tried the free version first and I assumed the limited number of games for a single layout was a limitation of the free version - it is not.
