iPhone and iPod touch users can draw immediately with a finger when opening a drawing canvas. No need to toggle from Pencil to Finger input. Pencil drawing remains the default setting for iPad users.

• An assortment of multi-color pens, pencils, and felt-tip type markers.
• Other useful tools, including a ruler, eraser, and lasso.

Needs more.
I really liked this. I just wish it had more. I'm very good at drawing the head, face, and hair as it is. Body's not so much. Hands for me are real easy for me to turn out. I just wish you had another tutorial for guys body's. What's the point of being able to draw the head and hands if there is nothing to attach it to. My body's always come out very misshapen and just look horrible. I did a little better with drawing the women's body. But still needs work. I hope u update this app and put more tutorials on it.

I saw some bad reviews on this app, so I decided to take a look at the app to see how it’s like (tl;dr at the very bottom)
First off: the tutorials, while they aren’t completely step-by-step, they give very good advice on how to enhance and detail your drawings. They also give general details to look out for, which are fundamental to help give basic structure to your drawings
I took a quick look at the videos and books, and to be honest they’re merely entertainment and advertising, respectively
Additionally, the “draw” section is quite unnecessary since you can literally practice with pencil and paper...
(TL;DR) Overall though, I think the app is good for helping give detail and further structure to your drawings; it’s not really supposed to give you a complete course, rather it’s just there to help a bit. I actually bought the book “How to Draw Manga: Basics and Beyond!” recently and from what I can tell, the book is TONS more helpful and I’m looking forward to using it!

Great, but room for improvement
I opened up the app and dove right in ( I personally never had it crash) its a great app, but it needs to be updated with the hair pictures actually there, and you need to go in depth on the male body. the tutorial really opened up my limits on drawing. I went from ehhh on anime/manga to beastly. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a tutorial that will help you, whether you don't have te slightest idea of how to draw this, or if you already got a lot down. Best free tutorial app you can get.

Great app, really helping me to draw manga characters
UPDATE: Loved this up before, love it even more now. The upgrades bring all the best stuff from the Manga U website and beyond to my iPhone 6, so I don’t have to be at my computer while I’m attempting to draw. (Attempts that are finally getting better… thank you, Manga U!!!)

Ok. this app is kinda just😬bad. I have three reasons why....first of all why doesn't it have more than two colors? Second of all it actually isn't giving us a how to. Actually quite the opposite!( literally nothing!they are just telling us, "put more detail in it then it's easy!") Lastly the app gives the picture examples so much detail in the how to guide, but we actually don't get any of those materials we need for the actual drawing in the sketchpad. Oh and I also forgot, just like the colors it only gives us TWO and only two drawing options... writing and erasing! I don't want to be harsh but,😐in other words this app is an obstruction.

I use this app all the time. It's amazing!!!! ^-^ ok so first of all it's free. Yay! :D Second of all, you can read the instructions or just look at the drawings. But the BEST part about this app is that you can travel with it! All you need to do is download everything when you have Internet, and then you're all set! You can take it on the train, the bus, the plane, anywhere! But it's amazing, so quit looking at reviews and DOWNLOAD IT!

Not much of a how-to
Basically seems like this is just a bunch of random tips, not really a how-to kind of thing that can help you start from scratch. It also seems like it isn't updated very much, and also seems like it lacks a lot of the details that seem to be essential to the drawing process. It focuses on females, which is fine I guess. Overall I think that it's alright if you're looking for some pointers, but not for a real how-to kind of feel.

It covers the basics well enough but I've relaunched it several times and it still won't let me see faces. Also needs how to draw more popuar manga characters as well, like naruto, inyuasha, yugioh, hetalia, ao no exorist, ouran high, and some well known animes. It's okay if your just starting anime but some of us more advanced want to know some cool technices or what kind of pencil and marker is best. A shading tutorial and a coloring tutorial would also help. Overall it din't have what I was looking for, only the basics, and faces wouldn't launch. Two stars is as high as I would ever rate this.

Luv this apps. It has every useful tips and you could travel anywhere with it when you have no Internet connection an it still work when you download everything when there is connection. Luv everything about it expect for the hair section. I bet almost everybody agree with me that this apps need a couple of hairs picture. A lot of comment ask for hair picture so PLEASE PUT UP SOME HAIR PICTURE!!!!!!!!! IM BEGGING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
