We followed up the popular Manual for the United States of America app with a Second Edition, redesigned for the next generation of the iPad. Along with the documents and presidential/state facts found in the original version, we have added more visual and timely information presented with higher resolution images. New features include news headlines, contact information for government officials, an interactive U.S. map, and an Election Center. We encourage you to explore different areas of the app to find special sections about the flag, the founding fathers, and important government buildings.

Find facts and bios of Presidents, contact information for Senators and Representatives, bios of current Supreme Court Justices, information about current cabinet positions, landmark Supreme Court cases, and Rules of the U.S. Senate/House of Representatives/Supreme Court.

I think the presentation and layout is great. The only problem is what I commonly see in other applications in both portrait and landscape mode. The problem is being unable to scroll normally to the bottom of viewable text without the text screen bouncing back up a number of lines taking the desired text out of view. The only work around is to drag the text field up long enough to view the remaining text long enough to read it, hopefully without having it slip down out of sight. As stated this happens in both modes.

Very nice upgrade!
This app is a nice upgrade over the 1st edition, but you've made some mistakes. One specific that I noticed is that you listed Sam Johnson who represents the 3rd district of Texas as Democrat. He's a Republican. What a surprise it was at first to find out that I had been voting for a Democrat! Basically, you need to check your facts before posting the app. Otherwise, it looks great.

Wealth of Information
This app puts a wealth of information at your fingertips. It gives contact information for both House and Senate. It has biographies of the Supreme Court. Gives the calendars for the Court, House Senate etc. It describes the rules and organization of Congress and the Committees of Congress. And much, much more. It is a very impressive app.
