– Lens switcher for the iPhone 7 Plus. Tap the 1x button in the top icon row to toggle between the 28mm and 56mm lenses. Neat!
– New widget for fast access to Manual from lock screen! To add the widget swipe right on lock or home screen, scroll to bottom of widgets, tap Edit and add Manual as top item. Wow fast.
– We added some nice little haptic feedback bumps and clicks for iPhone 7. Feels good, man.
– Fixed dumb bug where RAW files didn't save location.
– Have you been working out?

Just a few reminders for handling the RAW DNG files:

– The Photos app doesn't support viewing DNG properly, so instead it shows the low resolution preview image embedded in the DNG.
– If an app doesn't understand DNG it will import the low resolution preview and look bad. Make sure it's compatible.
– Some apps will misread the metadata on the file as having a very small resolution, again this is the low res preview file being read. RAW always captures the full resolution of the sensor. You just need to open the DNG in a compatible app.

– Performance improvements for massive photo libraries.

Chris31390,
Great app
Bought it on day 1 of its release on the App Store, and it has been on every iPhone I’ve owned since. It’s use declined a bit as I started using LR but I still use manual from time to time. While it’s simple but powerful I do however feel it’s UI was more intuitive back in the day. In more recent updates it seems the iso and shutter speed are a bit more less than intuitive to use than earlier days and pinpointing a specific setting can be difficult as swiping back and forth they move quickly. I do hope the developers address this but it doesn’t break the app.
AshLumi,
The best camera app!
I’ve been using this app for years and I’m so thrilled that it’s still be updated. It’s powerful and easy to use- and it’s so much better than the stock camera app. Definitely worth it!
Prettymouse°,
Does not work with iPad Pro
With iPad Pro what you see is a tiny square in the center of the screen, when you go to the settings you cannot scroll the settings and many of them are off the bottom of the screen. It locks itself in some kind of mode to help you figure out how to run it and that will not go away. It never let you see an actual rectangle of field of you in order to take shots. It’s an absolute waste of money.
Justafewbits,
With no aperture control this is hardly a manual camera
This all let’s you fiddle with shutter speed, ISO, focus and make some Exposure Compensation adjustments, but there is no aperture control, so it’s basically useless.

Also, the sensitivity of controls is such that you will spend ages trying to dial-in any settings.

So if you want to spend your time messing with your phone instead of taking pictures, spend money here. Otherwise, get a fully manual camera.
pitzeleh8,
Less intuitive
Not sure what changed, but feels less intuitive from a UI perspective than in the past. Biggest problem is that I cannot figure out how to get a full viewfinder. It seems permanently cropped, which means you cannot take precise photos. For me, that defeats a key function of the app.
ShibaBoy,
Redesigned into unusable
This was my go to app for digiscoping and I frequently recommended this app to astronomers, birders and photographers. No more.

The redesign is maddeningly difficult to use, especially while trying to align an iPhone to a high mag telescope, then adjust settings to keep motion blur down, and then take some shots. Controls are now incredibly difficult to use. Auto adjust features come on for no reason and linked in ways that do not help (leave my shutter speed where I put it, darn it!)

Just to be clear for the developers: it is called MANUAL, let us us it in manual mode and get out of the way.

Please re-release the prior version and take a time out in the bad-UI programmer’s penalty box.
Sharkboy Hawaii,
Frustrating
I just bought this app. Really wanted a straightforward app that allowed shutter speed control without all the filters editors and other rubbish I don’t need. This app should be it were it not for the uselessly maddening interface. The settings jump around everywhere. It’s nearly impossible to make a setting quickly. Simple sliders....that’s all you need to make this work. But I’m uninstalling. Shame.
dwrrn90,
Save your money
I was looking for an application that would allow manual operation of the camera similar to my DSLR. I found this app to have very few features that actually allowed for manual operation. In addition to that this camera app lags severely behind when there is any movement. Overall this has been a waste of $4. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
EarthsDM,
No controls work in latest release
No controls work in the latest release. Sadly a once good app is now completely broken.

Update: the controls are slow but usable in portrait mode only. Following the on-screen directions in landscape mode leads to trash fire exposure with ISO wildly drifting up and down without even moving your finger.
derekiswise,
Challenging to actually set any of the settings
The actual controls are extremely challenging. One time swiping left will put up the iso, next it will put it down. The iso reaches the bottom limit then starts going back up again. You fight with the apps interface to get it to do what you want. A waste of money.
