CraziTalk,
Disappointed
I was in early backer of the powerwatch on indigogo. I quickly upgraded to the power watch X when it became available, in talking to their customer service when everything was said and done, They said I could expect apple health sinking and a variety of other software features. I purchased the watch over two years ago, I finally got it a little over 2 and a half months ago. There are minor issues with the watch itself that are related to the hardware, things like the poor quality light for the display. But other issues are software related, and I’ve been waiting months for those to be fixed. The watch does not connect to Apple health, often I have trouble getting it to connect to my phone. There are a total of three watch faces, not the half dozen I was expecting, and the software allows for virtually no customization beyond selecting a particular watch face. If they had followed through with the promises of the software, I would probably still be wearing mine instead of having it sit on the desk at home while I use an older Apple smart watch.
LtCmdrMarx,
Poor software quality
Well, I’ve been very displeased so far with the performance of the PowerWatch X. I had gotten it for Christmas and right away was having connection issues with my iPhone Xs. I contacted support, sent in the watch as it was not giving me any notifications, or syncing. Two months later I have a brand new one as the one I received for Christmas was determined to be defective, and I still don’t get notifications on it, but it does at least sync with my phone. The software, if that is indeed the issue, NEEDS SOME MAJOR WORK! I’ve not tried using it for a run yet, but I would think that would be pointless to try at this point as there is no syncing with any of my run apps. The Apple Watch is much better.

Waste of money
As another reviewer here, I am an early backer on indigogo. I waited almost two years to get the PowerWatch X. Besides all those things mentioned by the others reviewer (poor light, can’t tell the time bc it is too dark, not enough faces-can’t tell the date). The software issues are the biggest problem. I don’t get notifications as it was advertised. The watch stops syncing after 7-10 days. So I have to unpair and pair the phone with the app twice a month or more often. The company said the issue was with my phone, but I tried it with a new phone for 3 weeks (with somebody’s else new phone) and the problem persisted. When I asked for a refund—within 2 months—they ignored my requests until finally they said “Your order had already passed the refund period of ours.”
The idea was right, but this company doesn’t care about making things right to their customers that supported them from the start. I use my regular Ironman watch than this watch.
Satisfied on East Coast,
Great Support
Expected issues with roll out, but found customer support to be responsive & excellent overall. Dealt with same contact the whole time! How many companies can you say that about? Light feature works fine, press & hold upper button. Connect issues have cleared up, have weeks of tracking data on the app now. Graphs are a nice touch. Getting messages, notifications and goal notifications too. Sync issue still lags sometimes, but checking back on the app, it syncs, w/out data loss. No, it is not an Apple or Samsung smart watch, but i didn’t want one of those. I wanted what the PowerWatch offered, especially having a device I did not have to CHARGE with simple operation & durable. Thanks Matrix!
Green05,
Updates causing more issues than solving.
The concept is great, a girly ness band that does not require charging. That might have been my selling point bc batteries always die at the most inappropriate time. The cons are the lack of customization. I know they said coming soon will be able to change the face, but I would assume they would have figured this out by now. Also, the most recent update has really turned my opinion down. The most recent update 1.06 now makes it that if I am not doing any major movement that it turns off the clock face and now just says “Matrix Industries”. What is the purpose of a watch if I cannot tell the time? Please fix this or advise how to fix as my confidence in this company is going down each time an update doesn’t show any promise.
...done trying0981,
Horrible customer service
I got the PowerWatch X and can not even use it. I have no idea if it is a good watch or not. The app doesn’t even work. It keeps shutting itself off every time I try to open it. I have deleted it and re-downloaded it multiple times but it’s the same problem.

I have tried many many times to contact customer service. After 2 months and about 4-5 attempts they responded. They asked me what phone and iOS I was using. I answered them and I have not hear back from them yet. I have sent the message 5 times and I got nothing. I will attempt to contact the better business bureaus.

I’m sure the watch is awesome but the customer service is trash. That is why I do not recommend buying any products from Matrix.
liamND,
It literally died
Im going to state what I wrote on their instagram page. I got the black ops model. It came in and I had it for about a month or two. One night I came home and took it off and went to bed. The next day I woke up and the screen was completely blank.....It died. The watch that was suppose to be powered by your body heat and never die, died on me. I tried to turn it back on and reconnect, but nothing worked. I never got it wet or hit it on anything. I actually took really good care of it. I mean for the money I spent on this thing. Im so disappointed. If you’re gonna market it as the watch that doesn’t die, make sure it doesn’t freaking die. Go buy an apple watch or something that is more reliable than this.
Permafrost98,
Needs a section to log food intake
I went from FitBit to a MatrixPower Watch and I’m enjoying it...mostly. I lost quite a few features when I switched over but gained quite a few as well:
The Pros: The water resistance, the more accurate calorie tracker, and the ability to be charged through thermoelectrics.
The Cons: No food tracker in the app, no music control or heartbeat monitor, at least in the BlackOps model.

I will be upgrading to the PowerWatch X in December in hopes of some more added features, but I beg you, Matrix Industries, please add at least the food tracking feature. Or some form of it.
Sandwhich5,
Don’t buy
This watch is actually horrible. I bought mine before Christmas last year and I’ve been using it ever since to actually test how well it works. Well the watch doesn’t work at all like it’s supposed to. It died on me over three times now, it will not connect to my phone and I spent way too much money for it not to connect to my phone. There are no watch faces on mine like there are supposed to be, and this feature came out months ago. I also can’t update my watch through the app whenever it does in-fact connect to my phone. This is a great concept but the wrong people doing it, with horrible customer service and many lies hiding what they are actually doing.
magicbrook,
Refuses to sync
Background: i used a Fitbit for years. I never had problems with sync. I’ve read the Bluetooth low power specification; I know how it’s supposed to work. This app mostly doesn’t. For the last few days, app has refused to sync watch at all. Since we just went to Summer Time, my watch is now an hour off. I travel regularly. Without reliable sync, what good is a watch that’s time zones off? This isn’t that hard to program! Often, the only way that I can get sync going is to update firmware. But that action wipes out the watch’s data. Programmers: you must never destroy your user’s data! Bad design. Sync is THE essential function. Since that is mysteriously unreliable, what good is the whole kit?
