Good way to pass time
If you don’t like the pay to play games this may be the game for you. Build the city the way you want, some challenges require buildings you don’t get for a while, but overall it’s a good game you can enjoy without spending much, if any, money.

Yep, it’s pay to win.
UPDATE: The pay-to-win aspect of this game rears its head at about level 20. By level 25, it is difficult to continue without paying real money for power ups. Meanwhile, half of your city is on fire and you don’t have the resources to do anything about it. And the clipboard lady is very, very disappointed in you.
This game is basically building a city, with homes and infrastructure like mills, dairies and so on. You get the resources to build and upgrade your building by playing match-3 levels. Your city generates income which allows further expansion. I have not needed to spend real money yet on game: currency or gems (it’s always gems in these games), and it’s too early to tell if such purchases will be required to complete the game. Until that time, I am finding the game enjoyable.

Frustrated!!!
Some days it’s lots of fun. Then you go two days of being unable to accomplish anything because the difficulty of one puzzle is obnoxious. Play the game all day and get nowhere. Then two or three days later, the same puzzle is super simple. It’s obviously setup to make you spend money. I’m ready to delete all My G5 games for that exact reason. If the only way you can enjoy their games is by spending money, I’ll spend My time playing games that aren’t quite as greed driven.

Too expensive
I enjoy playing the game, but I am stuck. I have manage to build the city, but having to purchase diamonds to buy buildings, or upgrade the houses is expensive. In other games as the player progresses, the buildings and houses are available with each level. I wish this game was more like that. Is there a way to eliminate the diamonds from the game? The purchases add up when you do not have a lot of money. Other than that I have no problem with the game.

Decent match-3 and building combo
This game is free to try, giving you enough currency to put down several buildings. Eventually you will have to pay something to move forward further. The graphics are fine for this kind of game, and there are plenty of things to construct. The match 3 part is just standard, so I have decided to move on, but if this is your kind of game it’s worth trying.

Like it better than the original game
I like match 3 games, even though sometimes it can be a challenge to win the level. Still not liking it he fact we have to use diamonds to do things, as it forces me to buy them as I really don’t want to have to soend money in the game. Overall, it is a bit better than the original, as it has always been my favorite city building game, minus the diamonds.

Requires extra puzzle for energy now
At least in “Virtual City Playground,” you would easily have energy count add with time or tasks completed, and would start the game with energy stars. In this game, which is like a copy of “Virtual City,” you start with zero energy and have to keep playing puzzle games in the app to earn energy stars — one by one. It’s ridiculous. I don’t know how this was approved by G5’s testers and developers. Who would want to lag their gaming experience like this?

Okay so far...
I like the combo of building a city with a match 3 game, however early on, the levels can be very difficult to win without boosters, they shouldn’t be quite this challenging this early on... levels lower than 100 are already very tough, some levels having to be played over and over again. We’ll see how it goes before I decide whether to keep playing or not.

Just update the original
Guys, you keep making these pay to play fails. If you would just take the original virtual city and update it with these graphics and the new manufacturing lines you would have a game I’d easily pay 20$ for on iOS or pc. I can’t play these types more than 30 mins before giving up completely. I still play the original over and over. You have just destroyed a good thing since.

Going nowhere
Like the game but don’t like you can only get so far without having to use diamonds which you have to buy because they give very little to none for tasks. I’ll never get anywhere because I don’t have Facebook or Twitter which are the progress tasks. I can’t upgrade anything and cant get new buildings like steel furniture etc so that I can finish the tasks.
