I got excited by the screenshots because I've really wanted a MechWarrior type experience on iOS (in cockpit, campaign based - the other mech games I've found are all pvp with view from behind type camera which just makes it feel like any other third person shooter). This is NOT it. Ugh, so many issues. First, the game is on rails - you have no control over the movement, only the rotation/view. Second, no sound!!! Except the Start button on the main screen. LOL. How can you make a mech game (or any game really) without sound?? Severely detracts from the immersion, excitement, and sense of realism. Third, each "level" is the same - just walking through the same base shooting at other mechs (of which there are only two types). Fourth, the game lags at times, particularly earlier on, probably from loading sprites (like explosions) that should have been pre-loaded. Fifth, the guns will shoot at times when there's nothing there (not that it matters since there's no ammo limit or reloading - another thing that detracts from the realism and excitement). Then there's the progress bar at the top that increases as you destroy mechs but doesn't seem to mean anything? And there's a money indicator, but you never earn any money, nor is there anywhere to spend it if you did! Also I'm not sure what the special ability that has three bullets on the button does - I don't see any visible effect. Finally, there are no menu, exit, or options buttons - the only buttons are for the five special abilities. The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is the graphics, which are pretty decent (the reason I downloaded in the first place). But otherwise the game is a very poor excuse for a mech game (or a game at all). This looks like the dev got to a minimally playable version and decided to post it anyway. Not the way to go - find testers through friends or gaming forums first and finish the game before publishing! Doing it this way just gets you bad reviews.
