The new upgrade will give you the ability to turn on or off individual display elements, such as the optic leveler and the compass headings display.
It will also remove one feature. The current version of the Meprolight Foresight firmware has the Shot Counter function.
In order to make it more useful for as many different platforms as is practical, this upgrade will remove that feature while we work on it.
If you want to keep the shot counter function, DO NOT UPGRADE THE SOFTWARE AT THIS TIME.
If you do upgrade it, you will not be able to go back to the prior version. The next version of the software upgrade will bring back the shot counter, so if you elect to not upgrade at this time, the next version will bring you up to date.

The new Meprolight app fixes some bugs as well as providing some fantastic new features for the Mepro Foresight not found on any other optic. We will continue to improve the performance of the app and provide new functionality.
This update includes the following exciting new features:
1)A first of its kind automatic digital zeroing capability. You can zero without touching the optic. To do so, you shoot a group and upload a photo of the grouping to the application. Voila! The system analyzes the mean point of impact and zeroes the weapon automatically. You save your ammo for fun without wasting it on zeroing.
2)Shot counter – Keep a record of your shots fired. The App supports 3 different counters.
Counter #1 – Reflects the number of shots as they are recorded in the Mepro Foresight internal shot counter
Counter #2 – Let you decide which shot counting record you want to keep. It can be your monthly rounds fired, a profile related counter, etc.
Counter #3 – Total round for the optic. Keep a cumulative record of the shots that you had fired with the specific Mepro Foresight. This will be useful for maintenance purposes and overall record keeping.
3)Magazine countdown – Set the number of rounds you load to the magazine and a “critical” level where you want the Mepro Foresight to alert you before the magazine is empty.

Good idea, bad execution
I love this sight for what it could be, but hate it for what it became. Please make new update with shot counter, or release the coding for public modifications

Horrible product support
The features that were advertised at the time I purchased are not supported. TWO YEARS since the last firmware update. This is fraudulent advertising. Fix and support your very expensive product Meprolight!!!!

Don’t get the app. You’d be better off just using the optic. They should really discount the price though because it doesn’t deliver on anything it says it can do.
