Very fun and challenging, one suggestion.

This game is a wonderful blend of strategy and difficulty. It balances everything very well. The blocks each have their own abilities which you can use to defeat different levels. To the developers: might there be a way for those of us who do not pay to play to get the other commanders that are currently only for sale? Could we watch an equivalent number of ads whose revenue is similar to the cost of the commanders or something like that? Like each ad makes you 10 cents let’s say and a commander is $19. Maybe we could watch 190 ads in order to get that commander? Have those ads be specific to each commander that must be purchased. You would have to click on the commander you wanted and would have to watch ads over time until you reach the specific number of ads for that commander, if that makes sense. Like no other ads you watch, like the daily ads for gems, or the ones for more tokens for the daily challenges would go towards the commander. You would have to watch a specific number of ads specifically focused on getting each specific commander. I would love to see this added, and I think it would benefit you as well as all the non pay to play players out there.

Having Fun!

I am enjoying this game a lot! I’ve been playing for about a week, and I am enjoying the cute animation, the layout and level building, and the strategy component as well. I can stay on top of regular logins by putting in just a few minutes at a time, or I can sit down when I am not busy and lose track of time with it. I don’t feel the need to be online for it constantly, and I still look forward to logging in when I have time. The balance of fun and effort is just right for me. There is a component of challenge, but the game seems to be designed so when a player hits a challenging level, they can regroup, choose a different approach, and then succeed, rather than getting indefinitely stuck on some impossible money-gobbling blockade. The progression appears to be well-paced, and technology advancements are earned as rewards for levels accomplished.

I have watched a few ads for specific rewards in the game, but I haven’t seen any forced ads or anything that interrupts game play. All the ads I have seen have been optional.

Overall I’m quite pleased that I decided to download this game and give it a try! Thanks to the devs for making a fun and engaging game!

This is better than I expected (thank you LoadComplete and Macaron)

When I saw this was a merge game and saw merge in the title I kinda had low expectations for this game and wasn’t going to download it but when I noticed that it was made from the same people who made The Fishercat (other amazing game by amazing people ) I decided to download the game and it is a lot of fun. If you haven’t played fisher cat I would really recommend it, especially because it is one of the few actual good mobile game because those are pretty rare and even if you don’t like it, at least appreciate the effort. Obviously the game could use a little bit more work but it’s good.

Overall great game, removing endless mode 👎🏼

This is overall a great game, it’s a unique take on TD and most of the towers are different enough that you can change your deck to get different play styles every fight. As others have said you can play for 10 minutes or 2 hours, there’s no energy system so it’s up to how long you want to play.

The biggest con has come with the last major update. They removed endless mode and replaced it with the “Norbert League”. I understand the reasoning for adding this - adds some more progression, competition, and challenge - but I wish they would’ve also kept endless mode as I got much more enjoyment out of that. Maybe in the future they’ll add endless mode back. I took off 1.5 stars because of the removal of endless mode, if they can add that back I’ll gladly update to 5 stars because it’s a great game.

Lastly, the commanders. I have Amon and he’s not bad at all. I’d like an easier way to unlock other commanders but at least it’s possible to grind out the gems and unlock them with paying real money, which is more than I can say for most other games today.

Update Ruined It

Endless mode was great and could provide a lot of play time outside of the campaign. Now it has been completely revamped into week-long leagues with nothing to do once you go as high as you can go… must wait until the next week when it resets. The rewards are horrible when taken in this context.

As a fairly new player, this move makes the game really boring for me. It slows down my progress, which was initially advancing at a decent pace. And forget actually competing because those at the top have access to an over-powered commander that you can’t even get anymore. Talk about unfair. To be clear, I wouldn’t have a problem with this new play mode being added to the mix… my problem is that they removed endless mode in favor of league play.

I’m disappointed because prior to this update, this was a really good game in a sea of crappy apps. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. Good news is that I’ll be a lot more productive now that there’s nothing to make me want to keep playing this ‘game’!

Battle Decks Are Too Small

This is a great game, complete and a lot of fun.. THAT IS until it becomes clear that: 1-You don’t have enough Silver to work with 2-The enemy seems to have an unlimited amount of silver to keep upgrading 3-You only have 4 Battle Deck Slots to work with, so you never get to use the majority of characters. 4-You are stuck using the characters with the shortest Cooldown time and most of those do not have the fire power to win. 5-you will never get to upgrade characters to Level 7+ where they start to dominate because they keep getting destroyed and you do not have enough silver to replace them. 8-You will never get to change Commanders as Henry is the only one that produces silver Initially the Battle Decks NEED MORE SLOTS The Cooldown times need to be shortened And MORE SILVER needs to be produced each round Hopefully changes will be made or this one will become a DELETE and move on scenario.

An actual GAME

This is not one of those millions of idle games clogging up the app store. This is not one more match-3 slider. This is an actual GAME, like a real-time strategy game with merging. It’s got a little bit of a tower defense feel, but you can move the troops at any time. The only things that you wait for are improving buff buildings and opening some of the treasure chests. There is no “energy”: It’s a game you can pick up and play for 10 minutes, or you can play it for hours without having to wait for your turns to recharge. They should charge for a game this good, but it’s free! If you like RTS or TD games, or just want something colorful and fun to play for a bit, this is one of the best mobile games out there.

Genuinely Fantastic!!!

This is one of those games that you are hoping to find hiding in the App Store and become super addicted to. You can absolutely tell that the devs put effort into this game! It’s charming, strategic, addicting, and most of all it feels fully developed (of course they seem to be adding stuff fairly regularly). So far haven’t felt like the devs are money hungry in the slightest no annoying pop up ads; The ads are 99% optional and actually give very valuable rewards. Practically flawless execution on creating this game I’m happy to have found it, thank you dev team!!! Keep doing what you are doing 😁

Tutorial is annoyingly long

The game is pretty good overall, but the finger pointing at the archer the entire time gets annoying, it’s hardly a game at the beginning in the fact that you don’t even make the choices. Even after the combat is clearly known, it still wants to tell you what to do, and it’s so irritating that I can’t even give it more than 3 stars. All of the games made by the devs are kinda like that but I like the slime ones because i would actually be lost, but this even after it’s taught and shown keeps going

Edit: Game is still good, not bashing the devs, especially since there aren’t constant popup ads, and they don’t use “energy” as an excuse to make money

My latest craze!

This is a great spin on a “tower-building” game, where your army men are your towers. Lots of opportunities to customize things as you like throughout the game. Offers a great story game mode as well as daily games to win more prizes.
The ads in the game are ALL by choice and unlock a lot of great daily prizes and buying opportunities(in game $). You also get rewards for cumulative ads watched. Great concept- it actually gets me to watch ads by choice! (But it’s nice that it’s not forced upon me and I can always choose not to.)
