The Ethnic Costume Museum of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology was established in 1988. It was officially established by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics in 2000. It is the first professional costume museum in China. It is a cultural research institution integrating collection, display, scientific research and teaching.
