Description

Use the app to train your musical ear.
The chords are displayed while you play.
Inversions are not considered, only the most simple chord is displayed.
These chords are detected :

min, maj, 5, 5b, 6, m6, 7, m7, Δ7, 9, m9, Δ9, diminué, diminué 7, demi-diminué, sus2, sus4, add9, madd9, 11, m11, +, °, 7b5, Δ7b5, +7, +Δ7, 6/9(no3), 13, m13


## Pre-requisites

Have a MIDI connection between your instrument and your iOS device.
Tested devices are : Roli Seabord, Korg MicroKey Air, Yamaha MD-BT01 with Nord Stage/Electro.
Please note that some workstation configuration may not work (Roland, Yamaha Motif) and a refund can be asked in this case.
Cable connection also works.


## Essential actions

Tap the 'Btooth' label above to connect a bluetooth midi instrument.
Play your instrument and see the chord displayed hereunder.
Tap + or - to set your instrument tuning note.
Tap the tuning note to reset.

## Transpose

Set a tuning note, the chord will be transposed according to that note. This allows to show another musician the chord for his instrument, a saxophone player with a Bb or Eb instrument for instance

Chord misdetections
This app works well but some there are some fairly basic limitations:
- sus chords are detected as 9th’s. For instance, Dsus is displayed as Cadd9, even though the D is the bass..
- no support for 13th’s

If this was fixed this app would prove really useful!

Chords not detected
Chords are not detect as you play. You have to touch the screen to reset every time. Not very efficient..I want my $$ back.

Nice, but can be improved
A problem with this app is that it flashes constantly. If it were just to sustain the chord display until the next chord, or just fade to black in case of no input, it would be way easier to follow.
