I am a counselor in Columbus, Ohio, and I recommend this app to all of my clients who have not previously used meditation to help find calm and peace. There are a LOT of meditation apps out there, but I specifically recommend this one for beginners because a) there are a limited number of meditations which keeps it from overwhelming folks with anxiety or depression b) it clearly labels the different kinds of meditation and offers an explanation of what it is and how it will work c) there are exact times listed, so a client can see right away how long it will take...which gives a feeling of control. I find the meditations to be extremely useful and calming, and once a client knows what kind of meditation feels good to them, they can use one of the more complex apps. I trust the Cleveland Clinic, and I love this app!
