Progress is slow but I am enjoying the steps along the path
After a year of nothing but stress, I felt that I needed a way to take control back and give myself some peace of mind, Mindspace and some sleep. I tried the free version for a few weeks and loved it, so I went ahead and purchased it, and haven't looked back. I usually do the daily meditation in the morning and one of the program meditations at night, followed by a sleep story. While I still feel that I am not sure I am any better at meditating, I do feel more at peace and Mindspaceer.

I do wish for 2 things for this app: 1, that they tell you or give you an idea of what to do with your mind's eye once you close your eyes. For me, it is worse than my thoughts. But my husband and I came up with 2 different "views" (i.e. a meadow near a brook with dandelions to put my thoughts on and "blow" them away during my next breath - the visual of seeing them float away helps put them to rest). Now that I can focus on that I can focus easier on the breath.

And the 2nd thing I wish this app offered was a dairy of some sort. At the end of each session, you ask how it was, but I want to also comment on how I was - was I distracted, or did I feel that I improved. Being able to see the progress helps the progress along. It also would be a good thing to look back over and see if certain lessons need to be re-explored.

But even without those, I think the app is great and have enjoyed using it.

Incredible tool for mindfulness
I’m still fairly young, 24 years old, but in my life so far I’ve acquired a lot of emotional stress. Clinical anxiety and depression, mostly stemming from trauma. But also just becoming aware of aging and time. Cosmologically feeling small and insignificant, that life is pointless. Existential anxiety has seemed to take hold of my mind every day, exacerbating the anxiety and depression I already suffer from.

This app is something I’m truly grateful for. (Along with the series they recently added on Netflix!) More than aware there’s no cure or abolition of negative thoughts and feelings in their entirety. Realizing it’s all part of the human condition and important to learn how to be aware and navigate stress. Mindspace is easy to use and perfectly introduces meditation to people like me who never thought they needed it. Especially when it comes to attention/focus, the guided meditation is exceptional. The interface is clean and smoothly designed. I can’t recommend this enough!

The best
I have listened to many of the meditations, videos, music and sleep meditations. This is the only year long subscription that I have purchased At first I thought this won’t do much, but after listening to Andy’s coaching through the first week of meditations I realized that this was effective. My goal this year to focus time for myself and this is a great way to focus for a couple minutes or many minutes. I have recommended it to many of my family and friends. Like a lot of things in life you think this isn’t going to do anything but line upon line you build the ability to calm self. This is an amazing app. This best money I have spent and thank you to Andy and others that have provided a very positive nonjudgmental experience. You will NOT be disappointed.

Really love this app. The master classes are my favorite part. Very interesting and easy to listen too. Really wish they would make more of them. I have a year subscription and have listened to almost all of them (finally getting around to finish the rest) and some of them 3-5 times (gratitude, disproving happiness, rethinking depression, the 4 pillars of health and sleep are my favorite) would love to see some new ones.

The only thing I would change in this app would be to ability to set the meditations like an alarm clock. They do have reminders but if I could set a meditation to start at a certain time I could do it without having to touch my phone (we all know how distracting phones are first thing in the morning)

My mind is better focused while meditating now
I have been trying to meditate and I would do it a lot from guided meditations but although I was guided I never got why I feel the way I feel when I meditate and after I meditate or how to keep my mind from wondering off and more calm and focused. That all stopped until my librarian showed me this app and as soon as I downloaded it I was amazed. It was so much easier to learn why it’s hard to keep my mind in focus so I can fix it by listening to the guider of the meditations and the videos before it to explain to you why you’re mind does the things they do whilst you meditate. I love this app and I whole heartedly recommend this to anybody who meditates wether you’re a beginner or a pro at it!

Life Changing
I am a preschool teacher and I have been using Mindspace with myself and my classroom to introduce and cultivate mindfulness and a sense of calm into the day. I have found that both my classroom environment, children, and myself have all seen a significant difference in the short amount of time that we have been doing it. I incorporated meditation into our daily lesson plan in the mornings and whenever the classroom and myself were getting too chaotic. I’ve also used it many times throughout the day with children and myself during meltdowns and extreme behaviors. I seen wonders! The brain is a muscle and we must exercise it, especially during these tumultuous times! Thank you, Mindspace! I totally recommend ?

Shocking.
I just got this app today.I am not paying, because my family is not rich and I’m a kid. :p So, I kept seeing boring apps saying “Do nothing for 15 minutes....” I never did it. I finally thought “Ugh, I’ll install it....”, and I’m glad I did. I am in 4th grade, so I have big tests and studying, then after school, I have to Clean my room, sometimes make my bed, Change out of my uniform, etc. It’s very stressful having so much to do. Then I thought of the Mindspace ads. I stumbled blindly into the app, I thought it would be lame. NO. It’s great. I like the breath bubble a lot so far. It Mindspaces me down after an exhausting day of school. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️, no doubt. I recommend this app, thank you for reading. Have a good day! 😃

ADD A QUEUING FEATURE
This app has improved my life drastically! Since meditating consistently on the app, I am noticeably more well-equipped to handle my anxiety and depression.

One thing though- I ADORE the sleep meditations, stories, and soundscapes, and I think Mindspace users would GREATLY benefit from a queuing feature! It may seem like something a meditation app wouldn’t need, but I’d love to be able to put on a wind down and queue up a soundscape (or a few) to automatically follow. Or queue up multiple stories for nights when I’m feeling extra restless. It would honestly make the app perfect in my opinion!!

Anyway, I’m thankful Mindspace exists! It’s by far my favorite app and definitely worth the money!

Many options for finding peace
This app will not only help you learn how to meditate, but also why continually educate you why meditation is important in our lives.

They offer many, many short course which we can all allow time for in our busy lives (as a single mother of two I feel qualified to make that statement), but also many nighttime programs to help you sleep, and many courses to deepen your meditation practice.

I wish the free app had more to offer, but I dived in and bought the annual subscription and I am glad I did so as an investment in me. Like a gym membership - but better!

Self Compassion
Dora and colleagues know us “to a T”. Her gentle observations about the nature of self criticism and unrealistic demands of self ring so true. More importantly are her suggestions as to how we can be more accepting of our frail selves and the important fact that old habits and inner narratives do not disappear overnight.
But they can be modified over time with great patience and purpose.
